"I went to The Agra at 5.30pm to order two takeaway meals for delivery at 8pm. I had to order in person because they only accept card payments at the counter. At 8.35pm, I called to ask about my order and was told the driver was on his way. The food arrived at 8.45pm, with the driver apologizing for getting lost, even though our house is less than a mile away. The food was barely warm, so I had to microwave it. Unfortunately, it was the worst Indian food I've ever had. The curry was bland, the onion bhajis were cold and tasteless, and the mango chutney was just a sweet goo. The mint sauce was watery and flavorless. I would not recommend The Agra for a satisfying Indian meal. I suggest getting a ready meal from the supermarket instead. You'll save money and actually enjoy your food."

Great takeaway, curries were well flavoured and nicely cooked. Really good menu choice too. Will definitely be back soon!

Takeaway meal for our family. Order ready on time. Everything we ordered was there. Very tasty with a good quantity. We are from outside the area but will order again when we are in the area.

I understand the restaurant has only recently reopened and is only doing take away at present. This doesn't however mean the food was not good, on the contrary it was excellent. Not overportioned and well flavoured. A credit to the new owners.

Poor service, ordered large meal after they had been shut for several months and forgot the 3 popaddoms, so we thought it must just be just a glitch.ordered again tonight and they forgot the naan bread, so wife had to drive back down and collect it. How hard can it be to remember simple sides. Agra please up your game or you soon be closed again. Back to the Chinese next time

This restaurant was absolutely terrible. The pahtia had no taste and the sauce was watery, the lemon garlic chicken was bland, and the special fried rice was extremely greasy. The only good part was the poppadoms. The tray of pickles only had small amounts of mint sauce, mango pickle, and lime pickle. Overall, the food was disappointing and I have had better meals in the 70's. I recommend the chefs take some cooking lessons as the food was not up to standard.

excellent small restaurant, fully licensed, any curry they want, even if they do not on the menu they make it for them, reliable service, very hot eating, always check to ensure that everything is in order, but if they ask them to let them do in rest they do. very friendly and very reasonable prices, much eat, book in advance to avoid disappointment, served up to 11,15 pm, I was twice and never disappointed when the meal is not right, take it away and change it for them without additional costs.

We have recently moved to the area and ordered a takeaway from here as a post-christmas treat. The telephone manner from the takeaway was very short and unfriendly but the food was ready very quickly. We had two different dishes a naan and a rice, the rice and naan were okay although not very hot, the main dishes were really pretty dreadful, swimming in grease, very bland and no spice detectable there was also a short black hair in one. Very disappointed as Indian is our go-to takeaway but we will definitely not be revisiting

Terrible experience. Unpleasant server taking orders. When I requested to pick up my order in half an hour at 7:15, he responded with 'I don't know what the time is so if you say so...'. Starters were overpriced and came with a minimal amount of lettuce. The main course, Vindaloo, had decent spice but the sauce was generic and gluttonous. The dish had a small portion of potato and meat (chicken just in chunks). The sauce and meat looked like they were cooked separately without any effort to make the dish presentable. The meal cost £17.50. The restaurant now only operates as a takeaway, and I doubt they will last long. It used to be a nice restaurant, but I will not be returning. Goodbye Agra...

"I've been in Horncastle on business twice once on a Monday, once on a Tuesday and both times found the town mostly closed for business in the evenings. This time, just as I was on the point of deciding people in Lincolnshire must have a tradition of fasting on a Tuesday evening, I came across The Bull. This attractive old coaching hotel looked inviting, and the staff offered me a friendly welcome. The warmly lit, high ceilinged interior of this Georgian inn was full of diners (Yes on a Tuesday! Take note, other restauranteurs of Horncastle) and the ambiance was convivial. The selection of beers behind the bar was good and the two pints I drank were tasty and well kept. I was presented with two bar menus, a separate burger menu and shown a fish menu and a steak menu on the wall. (I understand tapas is also available at weekends). Quite a choice! The bar menus largely consisted of what you might call traditional pub grub of the best kind. Within that massive choice, there must have been at least half a dozen dishes I was really tempted by but, eventually, I plumped for the cauliflower soup followed by the pork belly, mash, peas and apple gravy. Both courses were outstanding and extremely generous in size, especially the pork belly. My only disappointment was that I hadn't room in my distended belly to squeeze in a spotted dick for pudding! My bill, for such a large and excellent meal, was very modest. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at The Bull and would definitely eat and/or drink there again."
