"The culinary pinnacle of my trip to Càbras was a dinner at Agriturismo Pinuccia, a family run hostelry that has been operating since the early 1980s. Signora Pinuccia personally prepares a fixed menu daily, which features either fish or meat. She also can accommodate vegetarians. The meal is priced at EUR 35, excluding beverages, whose price is quite modest. Signora Pinuccia and her son personally served the abundant meal, explaining each course. The starters were an array of fish and vegetarian appetizers: mussels steamed in Vernaccia wine, sauteed mullet topped with bottarga, black rice with peas and seafood, calamari and potatoes, fresh country onions (agrodolce), and zucchini. The first course was homemade pasta with a spicy fish sauce and the second course was fresh tuna (which is caught off the coast of Càbras only in the months of May and June). The table was also graced with homemade Carasau, Sardinian flat bread. After dinner, Signora Pinuccia offered a jigger from a range of homemade liqueurs I chose the basil based concoction that was excellent. Having travelled extensively and having enjoyed meals in some very high end restaurants around the world, I am of the opinion that this eatery ranks on par with a Michelin 1 star establishment, at a much more economical price. Advance booking is necessary."

It’s the second time I come here. The food is delicious and the family makes us feel at home. Fantastic service too. I simply love it.

Easily the best agriturismo/restaurant in Cabras and one of the best culinary experiences I had in my life. We loved the food both great in quality and quantity. Very genuine and polite owners. We will come back before leaving Sardinia for sure!

high price, medium food, low service. Considering the fame of the place, I prefer to think of a wrong evening, but we were embarrassed, and disappointed by every reach, quantity and, above all, variety. acceptable quality, but grade 3 regrettably. inconsistent and difficult service.

everything we were served was absolutely delicious! the family running the restaurant is adorable and we felt really welcomed. don’t miss out the chance to eat here when in the island, so make a RESERVATION ahead! the dinner setting is like a family dinner, starts on time and everyone sits together and shares the food.

Small but very welcoming place; Mrs. Pinuccia and Andrea welcome you and immediately make you feel at home. The menu is fixed and includes 5 starters, one first, one second and the dessert at a price of 40 euros. Fish is fresh, meals are prepared daily, sweets are all homemade. The quality of food is excellent; Pinuccia available to explain the dishes. Closure with sardi sweets and liqueurs of own production.

a family place where you enter as a customer and you go out as a friend; that's his motto. home meals with proximity and day. oted finds specialties of the lady Pinuccia that produces exquisite vegetables, fish and seafood that come from the nearby lagoon of marshes or goats. thanks to the charming couple of the hotel where we stayed we have to know this place, they have suffocated a group to come to dinner. We looked like the onu, a Russian couple, another Portuguese, we spidered. a must if you visit goats, one of the most traditional and ancient places in the city. you will be surprised so much flavors and especially the price of the ratio of good quality. Yeah, book if you don't want to t...

We had just spent two weeks hiking Corsica and Sardinia and this was to be our last night’s celebration – and what a celebration it was. I have to confess I am not particularly fond of fish and when I heard we were going to a family restaurant famous for its seafood I wasn’t excited but I absolutely enjoyed every mouthful of the absolutely delicious food. Dining there was like being part of a very large family while our delightful hostess spent her time between checking on the kitchen and bringing us out an endless supply of dishes while occasionally she would also sit down and eat. There was a bottomless supply of local wine and at the end of the evening we were treated to a choice of poten...

Agriturismo Pinuccia offers the closest experience you will find to dining at home with a Sardinian family. The setting was a simple but attractive room in Cabras that was bright, open and lent itself well to the communal vibe what soon enveloped the diners. Most were Italian with a few 'foreigners ' and as a result, it felt like a shared experience as the dishes followed the classical Italian order of courses. So, naturally, the pasta portion was too big for those of us non-Italians not equipped with the famous 'pasta stomach ' but the owners graciously acceded to our request to reduce the portion size (it was still too much, of course). All courses eschewed the experimentation of haute cui...
