"We ate here to kill some time before an event next door at Albert Hall. We chose a window booth, someone quickly took our order. We asked about food and was told to go to a desk over the other side of the bar. Most people eating there have to sit in a specific area, but they let us remain in the booth. Food was good, bit pricey £15.50 for a burger) but it 's Manchester city centre so expected it. One of the toilet cubicles was interactive rainbow lights or if you press a button you can change the lights and a pop song is played. 2 toilets in the cubicle so share with a friend. Retro photograph booth found on the way to the toilet too. Dog friendly, and the staff bring water bowls for anyone 's dogs. Does get busy, even on a Monday night. We would definitely go there again."

Was recommended by a local on my visit to Manchester, and I was not disappointed. Tasty food, reasonably priced. Can get a bit noisy as it's a popular place, so I wouldn't go there for a quiet drink and chat.

Had a great time, 'missed ' breakfast despite arriving at 11:15? But really pleased to be able to have amazing bacon and cheese pretzels with our Weissbier....... Love this place (hopefully get breakfast next time)

The Happy Hour drinks are worth a visit! The bar was quite busy, but the staff were helpful and attentive, making everything more enjoyable. While the Happy Hour cocktails cater primarily to women, there are also discounted beers available.

Great restaurant with atmosphere and good live music (which was perhaps a little loud at times, less than ideal to have to shout in order to hold a conversation over dinner). We had the 'Sunday service ' roast which was fantastic. The service was fast and efficient from the friendly helpful staff.

Excellent bar, delicious beer, and fantastic food! I discovered this gem while enjoying the Pride parade. The atmosphere is wonderful, with plenty of seating available for drinks and dining. They offer two menus: one for snacks and another for more substantial meals. We chose to sit around the fire pit, which was perfect for meeting new people. I highly recommend trying the croquettes!

Booked a table a week in advance to secure one on a Sunday. Came for early dinner with a friend. The foods were surprisingly good. My only nitpick is they were a tad too salty for my liking. I would highly recommend the Pork Knuckle! The skin was super cripsy whilst the meat was really tender. They had a wide variety of drinks option too. The staff was lovely and attentive even though I only managed to finish half of my main. Having a live band definitely brought my experience to the next level!

It's a great, relaxed atmosphere here. The food tastes good. The schweinshaxe has a slight taste of piggy and is a little overcooked. Everything felt great until it came to a screeching halt when the waitress was serving food to the next table. The waitress put a tray on my head just to serve food to the next table!! I suspect she was trying to get on top of me because the plate was so heavy. I feel disrespected and unvalued in this restaurant. And I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Nice bar if you manage to get in. Went past on a Sunday evening and there was a queue of about 100 people waiting so went elsewhere but we were back the next day. Its a decent sized bar with a really good range of drinks and a good atmosphere. Cocktails were a little pricy but were very tasty. Didn't try food but there were some tasty looking options on the menu Edit: tried the food (Sunday roast chicken) on a recent visit and it was pretty good. Several items unavailable and a little pricy but overall enjoyed ourselves.

We arrived at the restaurant for our reserved table for four on Saturday evening. The place was lively and packed with people, most of whom were enjoying drinks and live music. The atmosphere was vibrant, but due to the noise, we had to raise our voices to hold conversations. We ordered three main courses, including a Bavarian feast, along with three appetizers and sides of vegetables and cheesy baked potatoes to go with the mains. The food was fantastic and offered great value for money, and despite the large crowd, the service remained attentive. I highly recommend trying the apple strudel for dessert. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"First of all let me say a positive, the only positive- Taylor our server was Brilliant, so polite friendly and excellent at his job ABSOLUTE RIP OFF, they only care about your money this place the food is so vile I couldn't eat much, meat was terrible. I'm a person who like to order at the bar, So I went upto the bar and tried to order to none alcoholic cocktails approx 11.80 on menu, I was told server will bring it over looked at Bill when he did, 13.00 I told him take that service charge off , absolutely disgusting they don't want you to order at bar so they squeeze a few extra pound out of you everytime you order a drink it's not the it's the principle) After meals in next room ,another service charge added on bill of 17, it's a disgrace and leaves a bad taste in my mouth , as if the place isn't expensive enough.. I would of definitely left a 20 tip for Taylor anyway as he was excellent but to be forced to do it in a restaurant that is already ripping you off in a cost of living crisis just shows you what this restaurant is all about. It'd 52 each anyway and you can't eat that much meat as it'd really poor quality and cooked poorly so please don't make the same mistake we made and choose this restaurant to eat. I so nearly walked out after the incident at bar when they tried to add on a service charge by made me think they were being polite and bringing our drinks to us, I really wish I had as I've had better tasting food at McDonald's in Moss Side"
