"together with my family, I had been in the hoard on a Saturday a few weeks ago. as I had only a few dishes to choose from as a vegetarian, I asked if I could not combine two. the operation then began a threeth discussion with me that I would be a hypocrite if I were to be on meat and fish, but not on other animal products. Apart from what she was right about her, such a conversation is not part of a hospitable farm and as hospitable it is not necessary to offer these unkindnesses! I don't know if it was a fixed waitress, as it seems to be only present at the weekend. our dishes were served with a distance of 30 min and were only satisfying from the taste and the portioning.Atmosphere is beautiful rustic, but the money and the nerves were not worth it."

3,5 Sterne. Im Großen und Ganzen gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Es ist aber noch Luft nach oben. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt.

especially the wild dishes offered from wood and flur are worth a special recommendation. as an addition there is a very fixed and friendly service that also just passes to ask if everything is in order. very beautiful! View menu

I am Bernd the Nautilus LG. Was the second time there and now a school starter, this restaurant is out. I come back to the finest, thank you for the service and of course for the cook of the house from the finest that is not a joke.

Old guest house with long history in the old village center of Boxdorf. In the back of the inn there is a small fine beer garden in the courtyard. Rustic German dishes with fair prices good quality with seasonal offer. The rabbit lobe is recommended. Parking is enough in front of the inn.

View menu

the old hospitable is now traditionally the place for the Christmas celebration. both cones and then rented the room in the afternoon, this time again was the time frame. a mixed cold/warm buffet in excellent quality was the high point of the celebration. the service was fast, good and friendly as always.Thank you!

we were looking for a restaurant away from the autobahn rather by chance on the way through and have bumped onto this historic landgasthof. the local was well filled in the early Sunday afternoon. the service was nevertheless fast and very friendly. on the map are many local dishes. the food was delicious and the portions quite large. the restaurant is definitely recommended.

"Also a walk through the beautiful Saxon Moritzburg is hungry at some point. We were still lucky, we were able to quiet our hunger in a restaurant without having to take part, because we still have our round before the 2nd big “Corona crash” there. The “Bärenhäus ́l” was randomly on our way, which was perfect for hunger and appetite. The offer to be read on the outside was also tempting and read about a successfully completed card study. It is an obviously ancient (but very beautifully preserved) building. Uralt is good, turned out to have 300 years on the hump and was once a farmhouse. It is called "Bärenhäus ́l", because a circus domist lived there in the 30s of the last century with two bears. A brown bear looking from my point of view (does not actually go) sat on a column at an entrance to the plot on which the workshop stands. In the GDR, the building fell out more and more, the more enjoyable it was reopened in 2000 after the monumental reconstruction as a restaurant and cafe, it has become a small town inside and outside, this half-timbered house. There is also a wedding room for up to 30 guests. The service of the house also includes support for the organization, such as accommodation booking, carriage rides and castle guides etc. So we put on our masks and take pride in them. You could have eaten outside, but we didn't want that, from our point of view, the prevailing temperatures did not allow a cozy meal. A young man led us to the upper floor. Everything was very clean and tidy. Between the occupied tables one was always free, so we also took the place offered to us, overlooking the beautiful and fairytale hunting castle Moritzburg. It doesn't have to hide behind Neuschwanstein! Now it started with the important Corona contact details, an extra note and pen lay on the table. That was done quickly. The really nice waiter gave us the card and asked us about our drinks. Since I was just a driver, I was allowed to drink a beer, Mrs. FalkdS wanted to drive the last kilometers. That would suit me and my thirst for a Saxon beer, it should be the “Black Steiger”, it also became, and it really has been to me... After studying the map, we then decided for Mrs FalkdS: a “Kürbis Mango soup” and the “Wiener Schnitzel” and FalkdS: “baked sheep cheese with cranberries” and the “Krautnudelpfanne” (Kassler cubes, Spirelli, Sauerkraut and pineapple). The pan then addressed me most, did not know this combination yet. And she was good, really round, so also tasteful. I don't really have to mention the fact that my selection was hard again, because then besides some other dishes, there were also deer goulash with rose cabbage and Bohemian dumplings, beef sour roast with red cabbage and wrappers, and wels fillet in herbal crust on sage lemon sauce with basmati rice. The ordered food and beverages came to our place very quickly. But we were able to eat the appetizers and let them do their “job”, it was enough time to the main dishes. That it tasted delicious to us should also be seen in the awarded number of stars. And we have become tired, you can believe me, even if the portions do not look soooo big. Hold on, we'll press your thumbs and come back guaranteed..."

""Where shall we eat in Moritzburg?" we asked our hosts before we set out from Dresden.Adams Gasthof, they said. Right across from the Schloss. Hmmm. Something to take under advisement. The GPS took us off our track and into a snowdrift. A fellow from the village came along and helped me push. Back onto firm ground -- "We're actually trying to get to Moritzburg. Which way should we go?" Forward to the church, left, then at the traffic signal right... "Danke vielmals! Und noch eine Frage - in Moritzburg wo sollen wir essen?"Adams Gasthof, he said.Well, that decided it. Adams Gasthof it would be.We came down the main street of the town, across the little narrow-gauge railway tracks, past the various hotels and shops... no signs for Adams Gasthof, or none that we saw... Hmmmph. Had we missed it? We were at the Schlossteich, the castle's moat-lake... oh, the hell with it. Left-hand turn along the road that parallels the lake's bank. And, to take another run past the various shops and signs, first left again, and -- and by golly, there on our right it stood, Adams Gasthof, parking in the courtyard or behind. Goal! Goal! Goooooooaaaaallllll! (Well, we were hungry after all that pushing.)For centuries the place has served travellers through Moritzburg from its privileged location at the castle gate, a gift of the Kings of Saxony. The architecture and the menu both drip tradition: High ceilings, dignified plasterwork, and tall windows with white frames and mullions set off the dark wood of the entryways, the blond wood of the parquet floors. Bits of ungulate skullcap and antler are everywhere overhead, which I mention only in case you're morbid that way. Carp, and not a hint of mud in its flavour, from the castle's waters, venison, red cabbage with apples, potatoes with gravy, a proper salad, good beer all contributed to an excellent meal... but dreadful "Christmas music" over the in-house tannoy took away from it. And, as too often still in what used to be East Germany, standard credit cards were not accepted. Our Dresden hosts, our village car-pusher, both were right to recommend Adams Gasthof. We recommend it too, as long as you have a decent wodge of cash in your pocket; certainly you'll enjoy the food and the decor. (Look out for the stuffed fox smoking a pipe.) And if you elect to go, as long as it's not in the run-up to Christmas, you probably won't have to listen to Michael Jackson rendering, in both senses, O HOLY NIGHT -- so your meal will be much happier than was ours."
