"We are staying at the Royal Lancaster and wanted to eat after a play. It was after 10 when we arrived. There were only three other diners in the restaurant. Our food and cocktails were excellent with a very reasonable option of a three course meal. Since it was late, we ordered items off the menu. My Nicoise salad was excellent with cooked tuna. My wife had an appetizer and the baked cod. We both had wonderful desserts. The gentleman serving us put up with our mispronunciation of the French food. We had a great time. I highly recommend this restaurant"

Decent Food at London prices. Cosy armosphere. Do not try the duck confit. Too french to be cooked here. Steak ok. Wine list too traditional and far too expensive.

It was on a Monday and therefore as everyone could expect, not crowded at all. Atmosphere was a bit cold but nothing bad really, we could hear each other which is good.

Overpriced. No taste to the ‘fish soup’. Salmon was raw in the middle. Need to get their act together. Sent the salmon back and was still charged 12.5% service charge. Would never go back.

Passed by here for a quick one before a long ride on horse back in hyde park with the stables around the corner, just what you need to calm the nerves, brilliant service and very refreshing. Check it out View menu

We took some business colleagues out on Friday night. We needed a restaurant that was not too noisy as we needed to talk business all evening. The food was great, the wine was fantastic and the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for.

I stayed at the Lancaster (across the street) and were guessing where to have a different breakfast. Walking at the mews there was this small place with several locals having their petit there. My Scottish breakfast was big enough to serve me until lunch.

French food still the best (or my fav) even in London. Went there for a work function. Ordered smoked salmon and crab meat, Parmesan with avocado purée to start, pan speared sea bass for main course and finished with lychee and passion fruit bavarois with... View menu

I had pan fried scallops as a started and this was delicious. For main I decided to take vegetarian and took Baked aubergine roulade, fresh tagliatelle, basil, ricotta cheese, tomato sauce and Comte cheese it was ok but eventually overdone with cheese and the idea of having roll of aubergine and tagliatelle is not that great.

Two stables with 10 horses each in the mews around the corner. Worth a nostalgic visit before you go to a culinary experience. My lunch: fried duck liver, fried snails with an extraordinary brie croquette, glass of Bordeaux. Souffle for dessert was too runny but good. The sliced baguette was below par for a restaurant of this stature. Maitre d ' was professional and honest, young French ? waiter too colloquial. 'Very good ' and I am sure 'excellent ' when they polish this diamond. Easy to do.
