"I cannot recommend this company enough! I got married on the Sunday 20th August the wedding venue did not provide a breakfast on the morning of the wedding. As it was a Sunday, most businesses were either closed or could not supply breakfast at such an early start. I put a post out on a Clitheroe community page instantly, Anita from Apricot Meringue got in touch. She was friendly, courteous incredibly helpful. We ended up ordering, breakfast butties, a continental platter a platter for later on in the evening. They were absolutely amazing. The presentation alone was stunning the quality was excellent. Everyone in the wedding party complimented on how delicious they were and not a single bite was left!! : Thank you so much for setting our day off perfectly!"

We visited this establishment for lunch. The staff were lovely, the food was ok, the tea was weak.

Fresh food, freshly prepared, clean traditional surroundings, friendly service. Accommodated the wife's dietary requirements with a generous can do attitude.

The server mentioned a 10-minute wait for a prawn sandwich due to the busy rush, but it ended up taking half an hour. There was little apology and no discount offered for the extended wait time. I don't plan on returning again.

I went to this restaurant for brunch and to pick up a cake I had ordered. I was very pleased with both the cake and the food! Anita was extremely helpful, and the cake she made for my parents' Diamond anniversary was fantastic. It not only looked amazing but also tasted delicious. View menu

If you are looking for a genuine tea room with homemade food, this is it. The service is attentive, the prices are realistic and the food is truly just like mama used to make. I always have the meat pie, potato and peas and am never disappointed. Thank you so much for a friendly, at home atmosphere.

We have been coming to Apricot Meringue as a group of friends twice a week for 15 years. It is a lovely cafe with lovely staff and excellent food. It is a shame when one mistake in service warrants such an extreme review by a customer who had to wait 15 minutes for her scones. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never made anything.

We visited this restaurant twice in the past month and were not satisfied with the cappuccinos. The first time, we thought it might have been a mistake, but the second time was still disappointing. The cappuccinos were more like hot milk with very little coffee. It should be easy to make a great coffee with the right machine, so it's confusing why they would serve such poor quality. View menu

The food was od a very high standard all homemade My Earl Grey tea was served in a teapot with a China cup and saucer and the cutlery was laid with the blunt edge of the knife against the fork. My panini was served with locally sourced crisps and mixed salad. The decor was cottagey The bathroom was spotless as was the cafe. I will certainly remember it the next time I visit Clitheroe

If you place an order you expect it to come to your table, I’m I right? Had to go chasing our order, not a full meal, but 2 scones after waiting over 15 mins and having finished our hot drinks. When they eventually brought the scones I mentioned it had been so long we had finished our drinks, we were offered a glass of water!!! When paying they asked if everything was ok and I said no, the owners reply was “we were busy”, not what you want to hear!! Used to be a nice place to go, I won’t even mention the sticky table and the long hair stuck to the table cloth!!

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
