"Isle Ornsay, Sleat is a treat for the eye, the ear, the tongue and the nose. A fairy tale pretty setting at the edge of the sea on the southwestern peninsula of the Isle of Skye. A manner house of old looking out at the Lighthouse. The gardens are gorgeous, much less formal than a city setting would require, perfect for the place. There is a small distillery of Gaelic Whiskey [scotch; blended]; a charming shop called Floridiah which sells fine Scottish woolens [not hand made, but great value for the price of a gorgeous garment]; silks, cashmeres, etc. Less tat and more lovely Scottish-inspired items one is likely to see worn by actual [albeit only relatively rich] Scots. The hotel has a charming restaurant as well as the pub in which we thoroughly enjoyed a good Scottish country lunch. The cheese and beer/ales were local and liberally portioned; the menu while limited to fewer than a dozen choices, offered excellent quality and decent prices. We really enjoyed the venison stew, the game terrine, the haggis and the cheeses. Salad was good variety of interesting crispy greens. The cider on tap was perfect with my lunch. It was a blustery day and we were wearing tons of clothing to keep warm, so the whiskey, the woolens and the stew and brew were perfect for us.Children under 18 are not allowed into Scottish pubs."

Simply preented but delightfully fresh pub food served in a very pretty location. Friendly locals. Good value.

This is a great little bar. Very welcoming and friendly. Walk in service in the bar so no booking required. Great food, beers and dog friendly what more do you want!

Our four-top, three-course dinner was served exquisitely and combined classic with nouveau. Care for every part of the experience was evident. Plus the view of Camas Croise was exquisite, even with rain! View menu

Andrea is very welcoming. We adore this restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and the food is delicious. It was exciting for us to see so many locals enjoying themselves, as we visited from the United States.

My partner and I ate in the pub area beside the fire. The food was great, best mussels we'd ever tasted. Great value pub meal and the locals were very friendly, one even drove us back to our hotel 5 miles up the road!

Friendly staff who welcomed us the moment we arrived. Lovely local venison. Great value at £30 for 3courses. Well worth a visit if you are in this part of Skye. We sat by a cosy fire for our pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere was perfect for the chilly May evening View menu

This Scottish bar is cozy and inviting. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. Andrea, the bartender, was welcoming and knowledgeable. There are also lovely picnic tables overlooking the water, perfect for a nice day out. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

After we did visit the pub of the hotel we decided that we would give the restaurant a chance also as we were looking for a bit more quite dinner and did not want to drive to a place. The food was also very good and tasty even if the choice was limited to the 3 course menu with three options on each course. The selection in the pub is actually bigger which is a bit a shame. The overall experience was still quite negative because the service was simply not available. The restaurant was almost empty and still you could hardly got hold of one of the two persons. It seemed that they were not really interested in selling anything on top. We were never asked if we would like more water or if we would...
