"This is our favourite restaurant in this area! Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, amazing food and really reasonably priced. We managed to fit in two visits this holiday, which was fabulous! The first meal we had was on the Friday evening, it was raining so everyone...was inside tonight and it was just full to bursting of locals from all around the area! There was a great guy playing keyboard and singing and that really added to the evening! The food was absolutely superb, as ever! Terrific night. The second visit was the following Thursday evening and we managed to eat under the beautiful canopy of grape vines out on the terrace. We all chose the 30€ menu as it’s such great value for money! The food was superbly cooked! A real treat as I had the lobster salad and then the scallops, they were cooked to perfection. In my opinion, this restaurant makes the best soups in the world!!! This week it was chilled beetroot soup with some croutons, chopped shallots and chopped cucumber to add, if you wished to. Everyone was very chatty that evening and lots of people knew each other from table to table, so again a fantastic atmosphere, the staff are good fun and joined in as well. Great times."

Great village restaurant good choice of food and drink can sit in the square or under the vines. During the height of the summer a Friday food market takes place in the square. Well worth a visit.

a great place for a relaxed lunch. we have eaten with a friend and all had the bark meat that was a nice cut and came right after each of our specifications cooked. always a good sign when a restaurant knows how to cook beef. we had. a carafe of the house bergerac, from which we were all enthusiastic. we will definitely visit as well as restaurants as these are a rare foundation in these days. 27 years ago this was a village cafe rough but very friendly. It has changed hands a few times since but the current owner has, over a few years, built up an impressive and popular restaurant offering modest but good daily menus at various...prices and an excellent gourmet menu of five courses. We have eaten there a number of times at both lunch and dinner times. The food has always been good but is currently excellent.

I had great hopes on this restaurant. like most restaurants in France, these hopes have now been overthrown. the menu du jour was hard little lust because they did not get the ingredients for most of the dishes, so we had to do for what we don't have...had,had, the menu was complete. our waiter, in dirty black chefs was also the chef. really no good experience for the 4 of us coming with the bill 166€. no reduction for an incomplete menu. ohh and I live in france.

Such a pretty setting with plenty of space! Great choice of set menus and a la carte! Wine by carafe plus some reasonably priced quality bottles. Really enjoyed having a good French representation around us and both the young waiter and waitress indulged my wish...to practice French with them rather than just jumping in with English -really appreciate that! Passed a very enjoyable evening -this place is definitely on our list for the future! Keep it up guys! Merci beaucoup ! View menu

Went to this Auberge for dinner having read positive feedback from other guests at the house we stayed at, and were not disappointed. The welcome and service was friendly and attentive, and the food was very good and plentiful. The 29€ menu starts with homemade...soup, followed by fois gras, followed by tender duck breast, followed by a great selection of cheeses and finished with a nougat desert for my wife, and apple tart for me. A good choice of reasonably priced wine is available too. A very pleasant evening, although quiet on the evening we went, and very good value.

Such a beautiful setting, this restaurant is just superb! A lot of redecoration since last year and a few wee changes to service but the food is still top class. We were served a cold soup with some gorgeous crunchy croutons. It was absolutely Devine,...very fresh and so flavoursome, leaving your palate refreshed. I chose a lobster and avocado starter which had a pesto type dressing and was accompanied by the most sweet and juicy cherry tomatoes. My husband had the melon and ham rose.. what a feast for the eyes! A work of art!! My main course was sublime, the scallops were cooked to perfection, their natural sweetness giving them the most amazing flavour, complimented by the sauce but never...

"We had been recommended this restaurant by our friend Andrew, so popped in today for lunch. We chose the 15€ menu, see attached photo!!! We were presented with a white tureen filled with the most delicious, homemade, vegetable soup, from which to serve ourselves, along with a dish of croutons, and despite the heat, it was so tasty so much so that my husband had seconds. We both chose the vegetable terrine which was beautifully presented with some salad, pickled beetroots- golden and red, some homemade Marie rose type sauce and some crusty bread. The terrine itself was just beautifully seasoned and had a selection of tiny, baby vegetables in it, just so fresh and light. We both selected the Toulouse sausage, which was grilled to perfection and just simply served with a mustard herb sauce and some delicious fried potatoes. We did differ in our desert choice and we had one of each tart. Both different, the rhubarb one having been cut from a large tart and the banana one was a little individual one, such light and crisp pastry in each, both very different but also beautifully presented with chantilly cream and sauce anglaise. There were many other diners there, which gave us an opportunity to view some of the other dishes, again so beautifully presented, we are definitely going to go back in the evening, before we go home, to sample the 27€ menu which looks superb! Very friendly staff, who also spoke English, if required."
