Such a great place to dine by the Canal. Ambience, food and wine are perfect with Bruno's great personality as a bonus. Book if you want a garden table!

I have known this restaurant for around 25 years and have never been disappointed. Bruno's welcome is as warm and enthusiastic as ever and the standard of the food is consistently high - the best meal in the area.

This is my second review of this wonderful restaurant - our last visit was in Oct 2015. Nothing has changed. It is still superb. Don't miss it for a great value weekday lunch menu (closed Tues and Wed). Calm canal side location, warm atmosphere, friendly and highly professional service, great wines and not least delicious and imaginative food. A real gem.

A local friend took us to this restaurant during a recent visit. The food is delicious, great service and a beautiful setting. I had the special of the day - slow cooked beef cheeks. Oustanding. It's got such a great atmosphere - right next to the canal, a rural outlook and great playlist on the record player (yes vinyl records!). We walked from the town of Argeliers - about a 15-minute stroll. If you were boating on the canal this would be a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. View menu

Recommnded by a friend we moored our boat outside this restaurant and hoped they served vegetarian food. The owner with a huge personality was totally unfazed and would accomodate any taste and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent from the attentiveness of the staff to the quality and flavour of the food. There are numerous menus to choose from and it is one time that I am disappointed that I don't eat meat to have tried the 'surprise menu'. We cannot comment about the food in this restaurant, because they messed up our booking. Anyone can make a mistake, but we were offered a seat outside the restaurant on a very cool evening without any sign of remorse, or word of apology. The restaurant had the option of telephoning us to explain that there had been a mistake, but they simply waited until we got there and shrugged their shoulders. They said that they weren't bothered if we stayed or left. We left and we would advise potential customers to find one of the many good restaurants in the area where they can be assured of at least good service to go along with their food.

On our first night cruising along the canal de midi we made a reservation at this restaurant on the recommendation of Emily at Minervois Cruisers and were not disappointed. It is a very understated looking place, just at the side of the canal but the food, wine and service are all excellent. We received a very warm, friendly welcome from the maitre d and we all had the €44 set menu, consisting of 4 courses with an amuse bouche and palette cleanser between courses. Every course was excellent, with strong intense flavours, each one leaving us 'oohing' and 'aahing' with delight!
