"Seeing other excellent reviews, we thought we would see for ourselves and are very glad we did. The 3 course 'menu du jour' (13 euros a head) had good choices (3 starters, 5 mains, 4 puddings). Almost everything seemed to be local produce which was cooked to perfection. He had the Limousin beef and I had the local lamb, both of which came with a lovely selection of veg. Pudding proved more difficult - what to choose?! Chocolate mousse for him (didn't last long!) and Tartlette framboise for me (ditto!). The service was great: friendly (Monsieur saved me from an accidental 'offal surprise' order!!) and speedy, without seeming that they were rushing you on. And at the end, we had to query the bill because we couldn't believe how little it came to. If we were in the area for longer, we would most certainly go again. Superbe!!"

on the holiday return road, we managed without reservation to have a table before the rush. The menu of the day is very affordable. dishes are good, made with fresh and apparently local products. We had a good time before we came back.

13:20 at random, we arrive at this table. And that's great! a jovial boss and a cuisine to delight: terrine white/melon cheese and jelly lamb mouse (aie! aie! aie). Then we listen to the chef by taking a steak of the limousin that melted in the mouth.Yes, you can count on chance.

We stopped on Monday noon in bellac to decorate our legs and lunch. most restaurants were closed. We found the inn open the white horse. It was a gastronomic discovery. a delicious day menu at a democratic price: lamb ris cooked perfectly, crispy outside, tender inward. all products are from the region. View menu

We wanted to have lunch a Sunday on the road to the return of the holidays we presented at 12 o'clock my spouse on request if we could have lunch they told him that they did not know when they were going to open we asked for the dog no one wanted to make the decision to sire yes or no so we changed restaurant.

Finally, a restaurant that does not offer a child menu with the eternal steak or ham fried, but a real limousine meat moreau with vegetables, and a dessert ice for 7 euros than ask better. for the rest, menus from day to 13 euros with entry, dish and dessert with several choices each time. Even if some dishes have a supplement of 3 or 4 euros it remains reasonable for simple dishes, but good and that seem fresh. We still feel the atmosphere of this old relai-inn with his paintings on the walls.
