"General Today we drove again by bike for lunch. About Kahl to Alzenau. After our real goal was no longer an option for us after our arrival for various reasons, our plan B entered into force and we decided to continue the La Taverna. I had read on the La Taverna website that they offer a daily changing cheap lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday. At RK times this restaurant was one of my favorites. The recitations of me have unfortunately fallen with RK. And somehow we haven't been able to visit La Taverna. It was done this morning. The restaurant is located in the middle of a large commercial area, not far from various discounters. A large farm has enough space for parking. I didn't see a bike stand, so we put our bikes right in front of the terrace behind the restaurant. Two small steps high, and already the view of the Mediterranean graceful terrace fell. If you are interested in the fantastic atmosphere of the interior, a look at the website or Facebook is recommended. If you want to go to the Restauran, you need to climb several steps, but I could imagine that the restaurant can also be entered via the terrace with wheelchair or similar help. Operation Three men skipped the service. Since on our arrival only a few sat on the terrace, and we could choose a table myself, I asked for so much service staff at noon. What should I say within a short time, the three had to do right. The terrace has been filled more and more with guests. All three friendly, professional in dealing with the guests. Very quickly we got a menu from one of the gentlemen after kind welcome. After the super gifted and optimally cooled beers were served, the first gentleman accepted our food wishes. We asked to keep the tickets after our food order, because we wanted to see the whole offer for further visits in the evening or Sunday afternoon. This had the result that in a short order the two other waiters wanted to pick up our order, which we had already made with the colleague. We were operated from the beginning to the end of the same waiter. Daniele was on the throw of his waiter. All three gradually came to our table during the meal, wished good appetite, asked if it tastes and this all in a pleasantly friendly, unoccupied way. The payment request that I have made was completed as soon as possible with the delivery of a correct credit by Daniele. Thanks for the tip. That's why I like to get 4 GG stars for the service. The lunch menus of the week (2 courses, start and main food for 7.90 € were read in the main menu. You can choose between two appetizers and three main dishes. The two appetizers were once a day soup (on request vegetable soup and once toast Hawaii. Since it was really warm, we both chose the Toast Hawaii. Cut into triangles, visually appealing, with a small Klecks cranberries in the middle. Toast well hit, ham and cheese well matched, the pineapple portions ensured a beautiful acidification note. We both agreed. From three options for the main course we chose the same, namely Putensteak Pepe Verde with Pommes. Also on these dishes saw all appetite. And so it was. The turkey steak could be cut well with the knife, even the chewing machines were not damaged over a fee. Great pepper sauce. Mass black peppercorns gave excellent sharpness. The Pommes were perfect and thank God for a just part that can also be destroyed. From the embellishment kit we had the honeymelon disc after removing the shell. All in all a perfect lunch for us, which kept us very good. Putensteak wig Verde To finish still Espressi per favor. Two 1a-Espressi were served exactly according to our taste. There was a chocolate-glazed coffee ball. The proud 2,50 € were definitely worth their money. Espresso Summa summarum is awarded for the food 4 GG stars. Ambiente 5* As in the interior many plants dominate on the beautifully tiled terrace. The new-looking plastic tables where 4 people can take up space, as well as the thick seat cushions, the matching plastic chairs allow you to sit comfortably. Cleanliness 5* What you say about cleanliness when you just sit outside. Optic all palettti, the beautiful tables flashy and on earth there was nothing. The toilets inside are the most beautiful by far that I have seen in a restaurant in recent years. Spacious, large tiles on walls and floor, large sinks, sufficient urinals My conclusion: recommended at any time: sufficient staff, very attentive today, the food also in the reduced lunch menu very good. The prices of the standard card rose slightly but to the right. Therefore my overall impression: (after kitchen trip 4 again! (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it comes again, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again"

"Location, town square Alzenau. Friendly Bavarian restaurant, with fine home cooking, excellent menu for meat eaters, 7/8 vegetarian choices, limited to dishes containing cheese and cream, although I think they would prepare something vegan style if you speak German (or translate what you want and...write it down beforehand), or speak to the odd staff member who speaks very good English (most speak a little, but few fluent). Menu written in English also available on request. Choice of beers excellent, all locally brewed beverages, and worth trying them all. Seating is inside or outside, and I fully recommend sitting outside on a hot Bavarian evening in the summer for a beer or three, although you would be wise to book a table in advance as every evening in the nice weather is busy, and from Thursday through to Sunday can be packed outside with any empty tables reserved. Food recommendations, anything from the menu is good home cooked food, served in pans, large plates and breadboards, and almost all main meals are mountainous portions. Vegetarian, the best are the cheese noodles, and flammkuchen which is like a thin crispy pizza with cream, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives and herbs on, again for vegans I think they can cook without dairy, or prepare a salad without cheese, and also a jacket potato (without the milk based herb sauce) if you can make yourself understood, also vegan friendly sides available if you can make yourself understood. If not, why not just eat something vegan from the local supermarkets? Most have an abundance of fresh and ripe fruit and veg, tofu based faux meat products, and a huge selection of bread, and then simply enjoy a few drinks on the porch here, and enjoy the great atmosphere. 3 out of 5 for vegetarians who don't mind dairy products (4 if you really like cheese or milk based products), 1 out of 5 for vegan food, 5 out of 5 for meat eaters. 5 out of 5 for anyone wanting to enjoy a local beer, although strict vegans do your homework on Bavarian beers (3.8 averaged out). Prices, from as little as 5€ to 18€ for food (steak being the most expensive, but locally sourced, around 2.9E for a 500ml beer."
