"I have eaten here a few times already, and it's been hit and miss, depending on what you order. The first time, I tried the Fahsah, which was like a lamb thick soup, tasty but a little bit too slimy for me ?okra) but a definite stomach-filler with the huge bread that comes with it. The second time, which was the best of all, was a Half Roasted Chicken which was absolutely delicious; the meat was falling off the bone and the flavours were amazing! However, the rice served on that day had a smokey taste and was also cold. The third time, I tried the Haneed Lamb, which as you can see in the picture, looks a bit dull and so was the taste; the rice on the occasion however was delicious!"

Very good. We bought a platter and the rice was so good. You could eat the rice on its own. It was perfectly cooked.

Ordered a special deal menu for takeaway. The chicken was soft, tender and fell away from the bone. Flavours were delicious and not overpowering. Will definitely order again

Finding quality takeaway food isn't easy when in unfamiliar territory, so we tried this Yemeni eatery in the hope of finding something different. And we weren't disappointed. Flavour, generous portions, originality it was all we hoped for.

We ordered the £30 platter deal and we weren't disappointed! The chicken was sooo soft and was literally melting in the mouth. Rice and the accompanying sauce was great too. The naan was properly cooked and crispy. Never knew Yemeni food is so good. :

Well, first day in Cardiff coming from Canada and was googling for Traditional Arabian food, Bab Al-Yemen was recommended by Google; was impressed by the quality of the dishes and the friendliness of the staff . The reasonable prices are bonus. Highly recommended

I made an order tonight based on the description and the pictures on the website to receive a meal it looks like left over meal. When I called and explained to them ,I was dismissed and told to call on Monday for a manger than I was tod to call tomorrow. Not even a try to fix the situation and even offer to sort the matter out. Horrible customer service My meal it just bones litterly. Extremely disappointed.

we had a great experience in bab Al-Yemen. high quality lamb haneeth, chicken mandi and soughar lamb. the manager is super friendly and helpful with his advice about what to order, and the prices are very reasonable, in fact cheap in consideration of the portions and taste. would go there every time I visit cardiff. highly recommended. a advice to the owner, however, is to do something like the entrance and the ground floor. they do not reflect the quality of the restaurant. 1. floor seating but, absolutely beautiful.
