"All in all, we had a great evening; I like the concept, the architecture, the open kitchen, the furniture, the art and the general atmosphere at Baldon. The service was also very friendly and pleasant. I was very excited about the menu, because courses for € seemed very fair to me. Then there was something missing in some of the courses. When I see that I could have ordered a small bowl of Kazuboshi broth á la carte for €, the price-performance ratio seems less balanced. The course with smoked fish and radishes was very sober for my taste. I thought the radishes were marinated, pickled, or fermented. Instead, it was a relatively uninspired and unseasoned plate. Maybe I didn't understand the concept of food either. The dishes all wait quite clean. But it worked for me with the kid, for example. There was acid, fat, and enough salt. A nice course with the bread and the herb salad. Somehow Scandinavian with Levantine products and flavors. Contemporary, modern and tasty. The potato straw was a bit underwhelming and the spring onions were a tad too al dente for me. The dessert was outstanding! Lavashak from Iran. This is a great product that you rarely get in Germany. The mousse was perfect too, but I'll be back. It was also the first day of the April menu. Perhaps that was why everything was not yet fully developed. We were also quite full, that's not the problem. For the future, I only wish that every course, with all its simplicity and minimalism, is well seasoned and that it has enough substance that I would order it individually. In addition, the menu sequence can be served a little faster. We were in the restaurant for about hours. Best regards, Marvin"
