"I finally visited this restaurant after passing by its sign numerous times and thinking we should stop one day—and I'm glad we did! It’s just a short drive off the A90, making it quite convenient, although the approach is a bit bumpy. The building itself is beautiful and welcoming, as were the staff. We opted to sit at the large communal table in the main dining area with other patrons, which created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. There were also two other seating areas downstairs and additional seating upstairs, which we didn’t get to explore. The menu offered a nice variety of options to cater to different tastes. Our food was beautifully presented, fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. While the prices are slightly on the high side, I think it was worth it. I'm looking forward to visiting again!"

This is a fantastic place that I cannot recommend highly enough! The huts are maintained to a high standard, and the staff in the gift shop and café are incredibly helpful.

A special spot in the city! I visited for the first time yesterday and will definitely return. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the menu was impressive with a great variety of unique dishes. The food was served quickly and with a smile, featuring lovely, high-quality ingredients. A great experience all around!

Venison is the specialty of the house, and roast venison has no smell. The seafood is fresh and inexpensive. The waiter's attitude is very good. Breakfast is from 10 to 12 and lunch starts at 12. You can park your car, and you can see their own deer right next to the restaurant. Very nice place, recommended to drive there.

Farm dining at the best. We were having our holiday in Fettercairn and a friend recommended Balmakewan Farm Shop and Tea Room. It’s a beautifully built Farm Shop and Restaurant. Beautiful interiors and the staff was super friendly. Even though the food choices was limited, the food was fresh and delicious. We had Haddock and Pea Pasta, Burgers and Shakes.. Truly a hidden gem and will go back again..

This is a fantastic place for lunch and to grab some delicious treats. We love the variety they offer, and the roasting is always top-notch; it's clear they use the best meats. Our little boy adores the fishermen's table and the pflugmann, and he never leaves a plate empty. My only regret is that we often eat too much to have room for cake or pudding, but that doesn't stop us from trying! The Brattruthühner dinner in December was exceptional. We can't wait to come back and are looking forward to enjoying it with extended family in the new year.

What a delightful discovery! On our way back from Aberdeen, we spotted a sign for a farm shop and café. After navigating a long farm road, we were thrilled to find a *gorgeous* shop and café. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was simply outstanding! There was such a fantastic selection that it was hard to choose, especially since everything sounded delicious and, to be honest, tasted even better than it sounded. Our meal was so enjoyable that we ended up visiting the shop to purchase some pies, sausage rolls, and banana bread to take home. I can't wait for another opportunity to pass by, as this is definitely a must-visit spot!

We were eager for a break from driving on the A90 when we spotted a sign for this restaurant. Although it was a bit of a drive from the exit, it was much quicker to get back to the freeway on our way out. The place seems to be relatively new, offering ample space with a deli, a small bar area, several dining rooms, and a gift shop featuring jams, tea towels, and local artwork. The open dining area was located upstairs, with tables nicely spaced apart for comfort. We decided to try one of the two cheese plates (which was actually a meat deli platter) along with some tea. The platter included roast beef, ham, two types of cheese, Scotch, and sausages, all beautifully presented, fresh, and utte...
