"The fried cod was just ok. The crust was not very crunchy, and it was low on flavor. The chips were solid. We ordered milkshakes that never arrived, possibly due to an ordering system that appears to be pretty inefficient. The staff was friendly and got us our shakes quickly after being alerted to the error. However, despite them clearly being freshly made, they were somehow warm. I think the only reason they get any business is due to their prime location next to the river."

Decent traditional chippie, takeaway or sit in. We ate in and couldn't fault the food. We ordered scampi and chips and small cod and chips. Ordered at counter and served to table. Marked atmosphere less than 5 but at the end of the day it's a chip shop so we weren't visiting for the ambience! That said the football was on so the atmosphere was too bad either. "I had a lovely meal at Kingsway farm in Dundee last weekend. The carvery was delicious and generous, with a variety of meats and vegetables to choose from. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The customer service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome and valued. The manager also came to our table to ask about our experience and to thank us for choosing their restaurant. The only downside was that the decor was a bit outdated and could use some renovation. However, this did not affect the overall enjoyment of our meal. I would definitely recommend Kingsway farm to anyone looking for a good carvery in Dundee. At time of writing and on weekend prices in total I spent £8.69 for the small Carvery and £3.49 for a two litre drink. All in all a fake price. Kingsway Farm also halves a great selection of ice creams that can be seen from the bar area and also a great selection of cakes absolutely fantastic really enjoy the cakes even though I didn't have one on this occasion I have done in the past. They also have a play area for kids and families. Can be busy at times due to popularity. You can book, but I've always just turned up as a party of 2 a few times. Easier enough to get a table and any wait I've ever had is within about 10-15 mind maximum. People are coming and going all the time. You shouldn't have a problem. You can book online if necessary."

"Really disappointed as we regularly come for tea this had always been our place to come as a family. We had a table tonight booked for 25 guests, well was actually the back area so hired for £25. Deposit was paid for £5 a head which I totally understand but in theory this doesn’t work with a group this size when the girls are putting food down on one bill drink down on another ! We are a large family who got together for a surprise 70th meal we’re paying separately (4 separate people paying) which I don’t think was a big ask but this was made to be such an issue which actually put a massive damper on the night. The deposit situation was just a pain coming off the bill when people were paying separately there was a great attitude from the staff. I’ve never been to any restaurant where I have gone to pay and paid for my food and drink separately. I can’t fault the food, the only thing I will say is one of the kids meals came out 20 minutes later than everyone else’s meals which isn’t ideal but again there was a lot of us and we understand this. I don’t actually know what the £25 is for as you are paying £5 deposit per head and if anything we brought in a lot of people for a Thursday night. Overall just really disappointed I think staff can do with sorting the way they speak with customers. Simple things like asking who’s ordered a specific food, there was a lot of us while we are working out who is having what, a female member of staff stood rolling her eyes. On a positive note a male member of staff took the drink orders and he was amazing."
