I have lactose intolerance and The Phoenix Cafe caters for my dietary needs brilliantly. Everything is freshly made and all the ingredients known. The owner is really welcoming and friendly. Excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough. Best cafe we've been to on our 5 week tour of GB. The pancakes were made fresh and to perfection. The sausage in the Full English was particularly incredible. Huge plus was getting a flat white in a mug. Visited with my mother, had a lovely full English breakfast and a breakfast sandwich, very tasty and hot. Good coffee and amazing cake. Tamara the owner is very friendly! Highly recommend a visit. If you're gluten free, this is a must stop. I went twice in one day. Once a the full English breakfast and once for cream tea. Both times, the food was delicious! The cafe is light and airy. The owner also had good suggestions for places for us to hike. I wish I lived in St. Just or nearby to frequent this place. Truly a gem of a find. Me and my wife were on holiday and stumbled across this lovely cafe. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, it is also dog friendly. The Cornish pasty is to die for it is honestly the best I have ever tasted with proper Cornish mouth watering beef. The cafe was so good we came back again. Next time we come here we will definitely return as it is a true gem. Absolutely amazing little cafe. Everything is completely gluten free (owner is coeliac) and lots of options if you're also dairy free. We were down on holiday and went three times in the week So gutted that we don't live closer. Though I see on Facebook the owner has started doing cakes by post so at least I can have some more of the delicious cakes! We tried the pancakes, French toast, cheese onion pasties and the breakfast. All amazing!! The pancakes I had with almond milk, made from scratch were so so tasty.
