"Gorgeous food. I had Navarin of Lamb and spring vegetables followed by flourless chocolate brownie, grand marnier ice cream and brandy snap. It's all freshly cooked to order and utterly delicious. Friendly service and lovely songs playing quietly in the background. Vegetarian options: My sister was very impressed with her vegetarian option. It was different from regular veggie food. "I Ordered a takeaway last night from Scott's plaice at 18.49pm the food never turned up till 9.10pm the 2 large chips I ordered were cold and hard and looked like all the old scrapings from the fryer left at the bottom the sausages were cold and the batter not even crispy. Very disappointed with the just eat service I received how can a delivery of 5 battered sausages and 3 large chips take over 2 hours. Not fair at all my kids were hungry and were just about to go to bed at that time not sitting and eating dinner. "A spur of the moment decision to have a Fish Supper! Fish and Chips in Fareham has really been a struggle for some time but we took a ‘punt’ on the Google review and we’re so glad we did. Courteous young guys in the till and busy vibe around the fryers, the result, beautiful fresh fish, plump and perfect chips, matched with a glass of wine in the garden, created the best Fish Chips for some time!"

"Please ignore the reference to Mother Kelly’s as this place appears to have changed hands and is nowhere near M K’s standards. We always make a post Christmas trip down to Porchester Castle and have bought fish and chips here for many years. This year...however, we were very disappointed. Although my fish was good (mainly because they had to cook it specially) my daughters fish was over cooked, my sons battered sausage had little batter on it and all our chips were undercooked and raw in the middle. We’d have taken them back if we hadn’t already left to eat them elsewhere. I suggest that Mother Kelly removes her name from this place very soon or this kind of review might affect her business which has now moved elsewhere. The service wasn’t great either… A welcoming smile goes a long way to making one feel like a valid customer."

"Great service and wide ranging choice of meat and inclusive salads and sides. Staff were very friendly and made everyone welcome. The premium choice is £4 more expensive than the basic, but the cuts of meat are worth it. It is not the place to go regularly, because of the cost, but for a treat, it is well worth it. It was not busy when we went (1815 on a Friday), so I cannot comment on how the service would be when it is crowded. It would have got 5 stars if it were not for the expense and the feeling that you are there to eat, rather than relax with friends. As I said, great for a treat."
