The staff was friendly and efficient when taking our large order for the Scout camp. The portions were satisfying and the food was delicious.

This was our first visit to Lewis’s Maidstone since arriving from France as we had heard such good things about the food. We were not disappointed, the fish was beautiful and lean and the batter was very tasty. The chips were lovely too. Staff were very friendly and We will be returning before we return to France

I bought fish and chips from this restaurant in the early evening. Since I live only 2 minutes away from the shop, I was home quickly and ate right away. Unfortunately, all of the food was almost cold when I arrived home, and some of the fish and chips were hard, as if they had been cooked and left for a while. I was very disappointed with my experience.

Really underwhelming and disappointing. Had a large order so was prompted to order online and they didn't add salt and vinegar to chips at which point it could have been added when asked but I was given sachets instead for me to add myself. Really did not taste the same and not worth driving all the way and the price. I will never be wasting my money here again. View menu

I was not very impressed with my experience at the restaurant. I ordered a peri chicken fillet wrap supreme, but was disappointed to find that the chicken was actually thigh meat instead of fillet. I felt that the description of the product was misleading, as I would not have ordered it had I known it was thigh meat. Additionally, there were lots of fatty bits within the wrap.

Looks nice from the outside, large cod and chips tasted of rancid oil, returned to shop, asked very politely if it was possible to get fresh or a refund. Staff couldn 't answer, had to be the boss . A little grimy runt popped his head up, tried them and professed they met his standard. Long short was I left the greasy mess with him and got the money back through the MONZO app in 2 minutes flat. So Kudos MONZO!

Driven past this place over 100 times whilst on my way to my girlfriends flat. Always thought it looked good from the outside and was always tempted to go in. Last night i gave in to temptation and i 'm glad i was not disappointed. My girlfriend comes from Mexico and had made up her mind that she didn 't like fish and chips after a few bad experiences before at other places. With help from The gentlemen that served us, i convinced her to try my fish. The batter was perfect the fish was nice and fresh and my girlfriends opinion has now been converted. Of course nobody 's perfect and so i will say i thought the cod was a little small for a large and i wasn 't particularly a fan of their tartar... View menu
