"We had been told that we could expect something out of the ordinary. If we wanted loads of chips, large portions and a hearty country menu then it would not be for us. We arrived to a cheerful welcome, really cold beer and a local aperitif. A choice of three starters, three main course and three desserts – sometimes, we were told, there might be less choice. Tomato confit for my wife. I had the cured salmon. Both visually beautiful, both immaculately prepared with subtle, clean flavours. Then lamb cutlets on a bed of potato fingers plus myrtle berries, peas and BBQ’d maize and a red and yellow sweet pepper. The fingers were thin layers of potato that had been gently pressed in a terrine then smoked! I had the cod plus a mixture of peas and beans plus very young asparagus on a bed of avocado puree. The cod (as was everything) was cooked to perfection. Both dishes were beautifully presented. For desert I had strawberries, many were wild, with a home prepared strawberry sorbet that had an intense clean flavour. My wife had the chocolat gateau that looked dry but tasted moist (gluten free), served with wild cherries plus home prepared cherry sorbet. So good. All this served on the terrace which has lovely views over the valley. Totally tranquillity and amazing food. Such perfection would normally cost an arm and a leg but no, only €12.50 each. The chef and his partner previously trained and worked at the Ritz. It shows as this food is rarely found outside of very up market restaurants. They are very young and, of course, at their age cannot be expected live and work in the middle of nowhere for ever. Their aim is to serve refined, beautifully prepared and presented food. They succeed. If you want the experience of the year at a price that will never be bettered then you had better eat here before they move on to greater things. Totally exceptional and the best food I have eaten for a very, very long time."

Visited this restaurant for the first time. Food and service fantastic. The cod was sensational. Excellent presentation and good value for money. Can't wait to return.

De l'entrée au dessert un vrai régal, des produits frais et tellement bien cuisinésReally good cooking from the starter to the dessert everything is so good and fresh. Very happy to have such a good restaurant here. We have been there two times and will be back ! Thank you

Very unassuming restaurant, with the wrong name over the door, but hey, ignore all that and head in. Friendly efficient service, excellent food, excellent value for money, only slight criticism, and it's pretty pedantic, is that for a rural French restaurant, I didn't hear a French voice..!!

This bistro has recently opened and we are always looking for a good new restaurant in the area. We went on Friday evening and had a great 3 course meal plus cheese a choice of 3 starters, main and dessert (cheese extra) all our food was beautifully presented and freshly cooked. They serve lunch every day but Tuesday and dinner Friday & Saturday 3-course lunch was 12.50 euros Going back tomorrow for lunch! View menu

Four of us went to Bistro 24 for dinner last night on the recommendation of a friend. Great recommendation. What a find! Lauren keeps front of house with a natural and easy charm, and whatever Jordan is doing out back is miraculous. The food was delicious - fresh, creative, unfussy. The best of quality in a relaxed, non-white table cloth eaterie. And after three courses, aperitif and wine, we thought the bill was mistaken it was so low! If you really want that something special for Lunch or Dinner then look no further.Lauren & Jordan trained at The Ritz Hotel, London and now bring their talents here in rural France.With a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses & 3 sweets you are in for a treat!The weekly menu is changed every Wednesday with a separate single 3 course meal on Sundays (Traditional Roast).The price of the weekday menu is €16:50 for Lunch & €22:00 for Dinner. Sunday Roast price varies depending on the type of meat cooked.My partner & I have lunched here twice in the past month and found the Food & Service excellent - Lauren with her engaging smile makes you feel very welcome!

Who could have dreamed that you would be able to find an amazing restaurant such as Bistro 24 in a picture perfect French country hamlet?The food here is sublime, we are talking really high end first class cooking with the wonderful local produce of the surrounding area. The dishes are geared towards French local cooking with a small fusion twist put on it to bring the cuisine right up to date.The results are astounding.Chef Jordan and his girlfriend Lauren trained at the Ritz in London and the quality is second to none, not to mention the amazing prices!Kim and husband Chris have done an amazing job to turn this forgotten little restaurant/ bar into something special and it gets better and... I arrived in the bergerac unfamiliar with the area, i stumbled upon a delightful little restaurant tucked away in the heart of campagnac.It is run by a one Jordan cummings (the head chef) and his other half lauren.I was greeted by lauren with a big smile and welcomed in to dine.To start i had ham hock terrine with fresh pea's and confit lemon it was delightful and very well balanced.For main i had duck breast, plum puree charred spring onion and confit duck croustillant, now to say this dish would not look out of place in a top restaurant in london would be an understatment chef jordan is clearly a very talented young chef destined for big things.For dessert i had homemade sticky toffee pudd...

I very rarely post reviews on TripAdvisor but I need to give credit where credit is due.. I recently dined at Bistro 24 for lunch when visiting our friends in France. With it being a sunny day we requested to sit outside - we were blown away by the stunning countryside views from the terrace!!There wasn't a lot to choose from on the menu but it didn't matter as every dish was outstanding. So much care had gone into the presentation of each course, and the monkfish in particular was out of this world!
