Bistro La Grenouille - Hotel L'Absinthe

Lovely bistro oposite of the fisherport with fresh seafood and a good service nicely priced wine menu.

So as far as Chik Fil A goes this one is average- they repeatedly forget my sauces which is my only complaint.

Big fan and frequent visitor to Chickus Fil-Aus (latin pronunciation) but first time to this one in Williamsburg.

What has happened to the size of the chicken? This piece of chicken was torn in half. This should not have been served.

Very popular, we had to wait for the second service.at.2 pm to get a table for 3 for lunch on a sunday.The moules-frites arrived in good quantity and creamy tasty. The plateau de fruits de mer (40€ for 1) is ok, fresh but not extraordinary.Deserts are ok too.Overall we found it pricey even if the service was ok.

It is rare to find a restaurant in Honfleur that caters well for vegetarians and meat eaters but this restaurant did! We had a very good meal and a couple of bottles of reasonably priced wine. We tucked in to complimentary tapenade and bread followed by fish soup (with lots of little extras) and a fabulous tomato and basil creme brûlée. Partner had the fish risotto and I had a really tasty vegetable lasagne. There were locals and tourists eating here which is always a good sign- would definitely recommend.

My spouse and I enjoyed our first meal in France at this wonderful restaurant near the Honfleur waterfront. The restaurant specializes in seafood and offered great service to us. We had flown to Paris earlier that day and drove to Honfleur and were warmly welcome after a tiring day of travel. The restaurant is a bit more "upscale" for many of the Honfleur visitors....who are mostly French. Although the maitre de was a bit "stuffy", the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return again.

We have visited many of the restaurants in Honfleur over the last two years and found this and the next door establishment, (Bistro de Port) which is under the same banner, as by far the best for seafood. Between the two restaurants is a large area where the seafood is on display and an ecailleur is on hand to prepare your order. There is a choice of at least three types of oysters and a huge variety of other sea food. In addition the fish dishes are excellent and my wife was extremely pleased with her sole. Service was friendly and non fussy and it had a good wine list. An excellent find and one other recommendation, as it opens for dinner at 7pm is to go and have an aperitif in the square...

This place was recommended to us by the concierge at our very nice hotel... Such a dissappointment. The oysters were delicious, but the smoked salmon with avocado and crab was really smoked salmon wrapped around tasteless guacamole with a teaspoon of crab sprinkled around the plate. I ordered the special, a steak with bearnaise and what I got was a tough thin piece of meat with 'frites' that tasted and looked like the ones you might eat at a state fair in the states...blah. My husband ordered the mussels.... A lot of them in the bowl but little if any flavor and mealy in texture. We hoped this would be a wonderful dinner as it was recommended that we stay away from the places around the harb...
