"We were on vacation for a few days and, as usual, we picked up a few places. In the Verlaatshus we still reserved ourselves from home. The few reviews I could find on the net were quite the balance, which is why we convinced ourselves how the food is. The Hotel Restaurant is centrally located but quietly on a side street and has enough parking. We were very kindly received and brought directly to our table at the window. The staff wore uniform clothing, which should probably underline the integrity of the hotel. It's just on the edge. We're not taking care of anything, but we're being served nicely, and we were. Immigrant free. Among other things, Krombacher was dark as a beer. Since we never drank it, we chose it. We charge 4 Krombacher 0.3L for 2.50 euros each. The beer tasted very good. It's a lot. At the appetizer there was a greeting from the kitchen. He called himself Mexican meat salad, where corn was in it. Since I haven't eaten a pig for a few years, and the meat salad guarantees pork, I didn't eat it, but my male....and also mean directly. So it tasted him. As an appetizer we chose the crab soup with 4.80 euros each. It tasted more. Finely decorated with nailed and neat North Sea crabs in it. Also refined with cream and neatly hot. Yeah, the soup was really good. Yeah, and then the main dinner came and ruined everything. My husband loves carving and roast potatoes. He's an expert on taste. That's why he ordered the carriage with roast potatoes to 15.50 euros. The Scavenger was well pruned and up there were 2 mirror eggs. The roast potatoes were under the attic. Well, the Scavenger found it all right, but not anymore. The roast potatoes were with bacon and onions, but he had to salt vigorously. They went through with him. He doesn't want roast potatoes, even though I mean, better than salt. I chose the 200 g Rumpsteak with Camenbert and Same Berry. The steak was tastefully very good and perfectly fried. The overcrowded Camenbert also has a somewhat cheerful taste. And croquettes hold croquettes. It was just not tender enough for that. You had to chew well. It wasn't hard, but not as delicate as it should be. Too bad the animal came from no good meat. To our main dishes there was a mixed extra salad, which was very good again. Conclusion: nice operation, but unfortunately the main dishes were only average."
