"Friendly staff, attentive service and great, cozy location on the boulevard. Don't expect an inventive menu with tastes to tickle your tastebuds. It's menu is about the same as all the others on the boulevard. quite boring and uninspired. Not bad food, just poorly executed by cooks that don't seem to care.I think it's a minimum requirement of a seaside restaurant to cook fish properly. My fish was severly overcooked and dry (risotto was pretty good though)If food is not your main reason to visit, tgis restaurant offers a lot of charm, though, and the personell was very good. Prices were decent"

Grand service , ultra please staff.the fish soup was outstanding, we believe it could be purchased in th local fish market, as the chef makes it for sale there. We Weill be buying some to take home today. Wine reasonably priced, and well chilled.

This restaurant is very well located and offers different menus ranging from 18 to 24 euros in the evening offering a kids menu also. Very efficient and attentive service. Food was good and well presented. Even though on the main strip very good value for money even dining a la carte.

My husband and I went to this place for lunch and ordered mussels with curry sauce. It was really delicious and we really enjoyed our lunch. This place has different variety of sauce for fresh mussels. Would highly recommend this place. Staff was nice as well. Food was worth all the money. View menu

The restaurant is located alongside all the others next to the road and port/harbor. All the restaurants were full, except this one, so you already know it's not going to be fabulous. Some of the dishes were decent, the mussels were about 60% shut - so not edible. Service was fine and reasonably efficient, and the decor is that of an old fashion bistro.

The fish soup steak and escalope was were actually quite good and if not for the slightly rushed staff I would give it five star.First impression was a bit unpleasant as It turned out that special set meals were not available at the time we dined. The menu didn't have any information about these time restrictions. The waiter didn't see the need to apologise for it as it was the reason that brought us in.Overall the food saved the place.

Paid a lunchtime visit during a rainy day. Food was adequate, portions not huge. My husband's skate was good as was my veal escalope . Haricots may have been frozen but were ok, frites were excellent, crispy and freshly cooked. The waiter was very helpful. However, a visit to the toilets involved a spiral staircase, which was a little scary to negotiate. They were clean, however. Not sure if they had a ground floor toilet for disabled visitors. After a long search of a place where we can eat fish and seafood at a reasonable price in a friendly environment, we found this bistro. We were seated outside in a half sunny place what we were happy for, since it was really warm that day. After taking the order, the food arrived quite fast and wast good. Not the best, but good. They advertise their potatoes as home-made - and they might be.The price of the drinks was quite high, but I presume everywhere around was the same. The stuff was friendly and helpful.

We had an early dinner here on a warm summer's day. The location, on the main boulevard with a view of the port, is excellent. I was amused by the friendly waiter who told my son in excellent English that his phone should not be on the table, even when he wasn't using it. We had mixed feelings about the food: the salade Parisienne was average and rather small. The mussels were tiny but very tasty and our home made frites looked an tasted like left overs from lunch. A bit later, the table next to us got a much better looking portion.

"we had recommended au sablier, and the TripAdvisor reviews seemed very positiw, and we were not disappointed. we went twice, on Tuesday 23rd august 2022 and again on Saturday 27th august, which shows that we were happy after our first visit. the Tuesday evening was relatiw calm and we had no problem getting a table. Saturday was significantly more busy and therefore the employees were more busy with others, and although we probably had a table ok, we were glad that we had made a reservation. in the did, as the people would arrive more people on speckle to the available tables, and there was a little turnover of clientel from foot into the . the eating was excellent, and the entire facility was quite relaxed on Tuesday, with only a small staff team. we went for the 35€ fixed price 3 curs menu, and it wasn't until the end of the meal that we discovered the ~26€ fixed price menu that was only slightly from the more expensive menu in my review. we should have done this, and then we searched for this menu price in every restaurant we visited in the next days. note that on the weekend this cheapest fixed price menu does not seem to be available anywhere, nor was it available in au sablier on Saturday. from all restaurants we visited, this is one where we felt the most relaxed. it would be churlish not to give total appreciation, especially if compared to other places we ate. as mentioned above, we give a total excellent rating, with value for money wfm as very good. if we 'd discover the cheapest ~26€/head fixed price menu on Tuesday we gave 'd an excellent total wfm rating. we look forward to returning! merci!"
