"I stayed here with a group of friends when we did the coast to coast cycle ride raising money for charity.We stayed at a total of 3 hotels along our route and this was by far the best hotel that we stayed at during our ride. The rooms were refurbished to a very good standard and the showers were amazing.The staff were very accomodating and flexible. We had an early start ahead of the hotel's breakfast start timings. We asked if they could give our group an early breakfast to which they obliged.As good as the hotel was from a comfort perspective the staff were amazing, friendly, very welcoming."

My wife and I, plus our 2 little boys stayed here on the Pennine Way. Catherine made us most welcome and even collected us from Leadgate 3 miles away ! The place is lovely and extremely clean and friendly. The breakfast was marvellous, and we will return sometime in the future. A great place to stay in Northumberland. Fully recommended. Thank you !
