"Unfortunately the event we had planned for months yesterday didn’t turn out as well as we had hoped. The venue was lovely however I think we was more hungry when we left, 20 guests invited to a baby shower for afternoon tea. Between 20 people...we had to share 5 stands between all of us and was charged £20pp! We was then told the food would be ‘topped up’ well that wasn’t even worth talking about and then they ran out of sandwiches when we asked for more. 20 unhappy guests, unfortunately we won’t be returning here again and do not recommend for afternoon tea. Also when organising the event we were promised call backs, no calls or response to any messages emails that were sent, we had to keep chasing to find out what was going on. A good day apart from the lack of food and the price they charged for a few scones and some finger sandwiches… over £400 spent no venue charge was mentioned prior to booking just the £20pp, unfair for the guests who attended. I have attended afternoon tea before, £18pp at a venue in kings lynn to share for 2 people, not a table of 6! Lost a lot of business due to this…"

We had ‘Sunday Lunch’ on bank holiday Monday. Liked the idea of pre ordering the food. Not masses of options for food but was quality food. Very attentive waiting staff.

We found this hidden gen on Google maps whilst driving through. We needed hot meal on freezing cold evening and this did not disappoint. Hot and amazing food absolutely delicious, a real wi twr warmer. Friendly staff, romantic and festive feel and lovely clean...toilets. Bit cold in the pub for my liking, maybe take a extra layer. All In all a lovely experience. Well done x

fantastic evening after a decision last minute to visit the area. the staff was smart and attentive and the food was very delicious. from the curldown there was a splashed menu that had an exciting selection to set. but what made it extraordinary. was the amazing service we received. it was great to talk to the employees who were busy with their customers. we will come back and hopefully stop overnight in the parking lot in our home.

what a fabulous sound. beautiful village pub, sad very quiet, but for us an absolute gem. the personal could not do enough to make our visit a great one. great eating, we had each of the 6 tapas dishes on the menu, they were amazing and...complete portions for an evening meal for two. great hunks of fresh bread to also mix the lush sauces. good guest ales and some very beautiful red wines. please support these local pubs, they urgently need our use

The four of us called in to the black horse for a drink after a walk in Dersinghsm bog we initially sat outside as we had dogs but after a couple of drinks and feeling a bit chilly and peckish we asked if dogs were...allowed inside and could we eat. We was told yes no problem we where welcome in the bar with our dogs. We chose three tapas dishes each and two bowls of chips and a bottle of wine I must say the food was fabulous and the staff where very friendly and attentive the food was also very reasonable we will certainly be returning

the main course was good (vegetarian Sunday roast) what we wanted was a bit more engagement and friendliness of the waiting staff. we felt that we were harassing them as if we were marginalized for some reason. the smile on their faces was literally not present. because we didn't know which drinks were available, it was very difficult to place the order. we only guessed and with a bottle of water and a glass of orange juice (they missed some of the entries here). The latter drink was taken twice into the bill and when we pointed out that there was no excuse. we have the impression that we were gone. we are very local to their place, but in the future we will go somewhere else, I'm sorry.

the trio of tapas 15) and main courses (hake and dressed crab salad 22) we were eaten here were very good, but the dessert left them down. we chose a chocolate brew and a white chocolate brown that should be served with ice. unfortunately they have. from a run so offered pour cream that my man accepted, but I refused and canceled mine dessert. when my men arrived white chocolate brownie, it was literally a very small place with a few blueberries and red johannisbeer with a small pot pouring cream. we were not well worth 6.50 for brownie all. In addition to no ice cream they had also run out of lemons, some alcohol-free drinks and various beers. I can understand that I have no drinks when the...

We booked at short notice via the on line booking service and Hotel contacted us for confirmation. Restaurant was located in a nice location and the interior had a nice country inn vibe to it with rustic decor and blazing real fires. Menu wasn’t extensive...but still offered a wide selection of dishes, prices were at the higher end of the pub scale. Starters were available from a Tapas Style selection, portions on the small side but were very tasty, frustrating that they had run out of bread on a Saturday evening at 6pm though, no excuse for this. Our Mains were exceptionally good, my wife loved her Cod dish. The desert which we shared tasted ok but was missing a chocolate sauce or accompani...

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."
