"Brilliant Blackmore Farm what a hidden gem this is! Driven past many times, but today we made the decision to stop for lunch, and boy were we impressed! Excellent COVID measures in place, great menu, including the best gluten free lemon cake I’ve ever tasted! We sat in our own heated shed amongst others around a courtyard. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it our very own Blackmore Bubble! The only disappointment we could find, was having to leave!!! Can’t wait to visit again. Oh, and by the way there’s a rather lovely Farm Shop on site too!"

We have been visiting Blackmore Farm Shop Cafe for 7 years now and we love Anne's homemade food. Lovely environment and a fab slide for the children outside. Fab prices too.

We had to pre book lunch as it’s that busy. We had a shed all to ourselves called Chicken Shed which worked out well in these strange times we live in. The food was superb, staff were friendly and helpful and we will be back.

I ordered a brie and cheddar toastie. Local products and it was lovely. I had my own cabin and I had seen before that they were cleaning the tables. Dogs are welcome from what I saw ans the chap at the kiosk was really friendly. Top visit

Lovely little watering hole which we happened upon by accident. Super friendly and delightful old fashioned feeling. Lovely plants and a very nice shop full of local and other goodies. Had drinks and a snack at very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Taking a meandering route home from Croyde we noticed the sign on the road saying cafe open and made a sudden decision to pull in for a cuppa. The service was great, scones with clotted cream and jam were yummy. The setting is lovely with the little stable themed booths to sit in and the flowers in the courtyard

I like Blackmore Farm tearooms usually but today service was poor. Ordered 2 flat white coffees both lukewarm. Also ordered 2 cream teas, since when does a ceram tea come with no tea? If the assistant had said I needed to order tea separately I would have. I'd finished my scone before knowing. Spoilt the experience.

We have been several times before and have been very pleased with the food. However our latest visit was poor. They said there were no paninis but we could have a toasted sandwich. We received what can only be called a dry doorstep and a bag of crisps. No salad garnish making it a very dry meal. Certainly not worth the price charged and substandard for a lunch. At a time when they need customers to return, they are not encouraging them. We will not be returning.

I was in need of an afternoon tea to celebrate my Nan’s 92nd birthday and Blackmore Farm came to the rescue. Prior to the day, they were great assisting me with my enquiry and my needs. They delivered an afternoon tea for 5 people all individually wrapped and “Covid friendly”. The sandwiches were so fresh and the savouries were delicious. We also had a scone with cream and jam and a slice of coffee and walnut cake. I couldn’t have been more pleased and the presentation was lovely. Highly recommend.

"Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues. Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time. Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really. There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs. Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor. The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together. Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay. Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again."
