Great food so filling drinks nice. Staff attentive cheerful/ barman spot on. I would definitely recommend a visit

First time at the Board Rock. Lovely meal and excellent service. 3 people had Scami, Mac and Cheese and Chicken Curry. We’ll be back.

Went for lunch,so disappointing, ordered beer battered haddock,when it arrived the Batter was dryed out and falling off the over cooked dryed out fish,the chips had been salted on the plate before being served which I never add salt, this made me thirsty all afternoon.the peas were fine.meals used to be lovely here, what's happened??

Four of us decided to try the new menu at the boars, received a warm welcome from the friendly bar staff, we were given a table and drinks order was quickly taken, waitress brought our menu and advised us of our various options , the steak pie and the chicken kebabs were excellent, all food was piping hot and the service was also very gd. Had a lovely meal here today. Staff were very smily and cheery even though it was very busy in the restaurant. Spoke to a girl who said she’s taken over not so long ago and this Friday was busier than usual. We had a spicy chicken starter and fish n chips. Batter was crispy and the chips are amazing. Definitely somewhere we will come back to soon.

Booked last minute as it was a terrible day in Dundee. Visited with husband and father. Greeted well and we got a table, very lucky it seems as the place filled up fast. We had the salmon, macaroni and fish. Husband said was the best cheese sauce he’s ever tasted, salmon was tasty, and dad loved the fish, his plate was cleared. Reasonable priced too,

Have been before. Food was good as usual. This time, we felt service just a tad slow. We do want our food freshly cooked and not microwaved. This was freshly cooked, which we know takes longer. We were not put out, as we wanted a long leisurely meal and a good chinwag. But if you were to be in a hurry. Perhaps hinting, as such, would be a good plan. Staff were very nice. good atmosphere. Music got a wee bit loud for a time. Last time, I'd have rated it better. This time, I would really rate it at three and a half. View menu
