First time at the Newport, but will not be the last. Fabulous food, probably the best I have had in Scotland. Friendly knowledgeable young man served us, only 4 months in the job, but well-trained and so helpful. Wish we had asked his name, but we were so enthralled by the food, we forgot to ask. 10 out of 10

Another 8-course tasting menu with matching wines enjoyed at this excellent venue. The atmosphere, service, food and wines could not be faulted. Of course this is special occasion dining and we booked weeks in advance to ensure our afternoon table slot but it's worth it. We shall be back in the autumn if budgets allow.

No place has ever deserved 5 stars more. Everything about this place is phenominal, from the knowledge and attention of our servers Daisy and Cheska to the carefully crafted, delicious food! They care so much about you having a good experience, they'll go out of their way to give you one, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a once in a lifetime dinner.
