"I had a working lunch here on a Friday with one other. Our welcome was lukewarm at best. We thought we had a good deal with the OpenTable offer of a burger, fries and drink for £15.50, but a service charge was added and the sparking water was £6.95, so this turned into a £40 meal, which was not reflected in the quality. The burgers, whilst being made from good meat, were burnt, dry and bland and we had to ask for ketchup; then being served one portion initially and told to ask if we wanted more. The service was below average, with waiters interrupting us four times to ask if everything with our food was ok, whilst we were trying to have a conversation. They kept kicking/knocking my chair every time they served the people next to us (frequently) and at one point reached right in front of my face (I was leaning on the table, deep in conversation) to remove an empty water bottle that clearly should have been removed from the other side. It's a shame, I wanted to like the place, the decor is quaint and eclectic and I note they have Jazz music nights, but I won't be returning."

Lovely ambience, specially if you like live music. A tiny bit too loud for having conversations at the table but Highly recommend.

All good, but massive delay between starter and mains, we were a large group though. Puddings came in ok. Service very good, food ok but could have been better. View menu

Went for lunch on a business meeting. Restaurant was based downstairs. Good ambiance, with an old school jazz vibe. Ordered the sirloin steak on the bone (with chips, green beans, mushroom sides). Staff knew their wine/ cheese very well. Was let down slightly when my ice cream dessert was completely forgotten about, which I missed out on in the end. Would go back however.

Overpriced and weird old fashioned scottish theme set in, what felt like, a vampire's den. £70 for plainish stuck together ravioli, a burger and two cocktails. I don't mind spending money but the quality needs to reflect this. Another slight annoyance was that diners were given different treatment we were told what table to sit at (not a particularly pleasant place right by the cash registry bit despite an empty restaurant), whereas another couple that came in were asked where they wanted to sit. A small point but neverthess unprofessional.
