"We'd visited Badia a Coltibuono a couple of times before and taken the tour around the gardens, cellars and tasted some wines and whilst doing this we'd seen the restaurant and thought it would be a nice place to have a meal. So that is exactly what we did. A beautiful view over the valley below, framed by the roses and the trees can be seen from the outside tables. The service was friendly and well paced even though there were only two waiters with quite a few people. We started with a plate of meats with what looked like a little savoury profiterole filled with chicken liver paté. Very tasty and nice olive oil to go with it. A very tender, unctuous beef cheek braised in red wine and vegetables followed, with some Swiss chard sautéed in garlic, and M had a very tasty pork chop with vegetables. With room for a dessert, Baked Ricotta cheese cake with salted caramel sauce and a chocolate and pear cake with a red wine reduction and ice cream were the choices and both were very nice. Two glasses of Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Riserva 2017 accompanied the meal nicely and a glass of their Vin Santo with the dessert was delicious. All in all very good, the slight error on the bill that was quickly and politely dealt with and as such if we get the opportunity we may well have another go!"

"Spettacolare! Una delle cene più buone che abbiamo mai fatto! Piatti eccellenti, pasta fatta a mano dal sapore unico, servizio impeccabile! Dal primo all'ultimo assaggio una sinfonia di sapori. Ci hanno inoltre offerto del pane fatto da loro, caldo, buonissimo con dell'olio prodotto a pochi chilometri dal paese. Inoltre, come entrata, sempre offerta dalla casa il farro con delle spezie. Non allego la foto della pappa al pomodoro, perché era talmente bella e buona, che ho dimenticato di fotografarla. Impeccabile! Consigliatissimo."

"Had a fabulous lunch at this restaurant. Allesandra put on a set menu for us as we were 18 people. We had salad, ham boards and bread to start and pizza all around for our secondi. Very good value. High quality food and lovely outdoor setting with canopy for shade from the sun and occasional spot of rain. Worth a visit when in Gaoile. Also good shopping just up the road, pottery and clothing stores"

"Prenotato per le 21 e arrivati per le 21.40, nonostante il ritardo ci hanno accolto con il sorriso e galanteria. Servizio eccellente, cameriere elegante nei modi, cortese ed educato oltre ad essere preparato e disponibile a dare consigli sia sul cibo che sui vini. Cibo ottimo, fiorentina sopra le 4 dita come da tradizione e cottura perfetta. Penso di tornarci presto. Il proprietario, nonché cuoco, è venuto a salutarci personalmente chiedendoci se andasse tutto bene, piccoli gesti che fanno sempre piacere."

"beautiful location that rises inside a Franciscan convent in chianti. after the reception and an initial tour of the whole house, which has an wine shop and a bistro inside the cloister, I together with friends visited also the wine cellar that has a wide selection of black roosters, with bottles made of magnum. we have dinner inside the cloister and outdoor, beautiful dinner! delicious the cutter of meats and cheeses for appetizer; as according to the cut with rocket and grana scales accompanied by baked potatoes. the bistro also has an excellent selection of sweets like wines, we have laid the kalliste sparkling classic method Sangiovese vinified in white, to follow the classical chianti of the estate the hill, vintage and finally the classical chianti reserve. great food, good selection of wines, very suggestive and relaxing location. friendly staff, beautiful and provided the wine shop which has a wide selection of black rooster wines. After dinner we visited the classical chianti museum located on the upper floor of the house, which traces the history of the Chianti wine. There, led by an Alexandrian, we made blind degotation with glass of wine in hand, and witnessed an interactive sensorial degotation within the museum. Also at the end of the tour you can listen through video projections the story of the legend of the black **** brand"
