the dishes were not fresh a la minute prepared. prefabricated and then heated as usual. the beef tart was so la, must be used. the faraone roll with its filling was a touring scale without pep. the environment is beautiful.

Had a wonderful meal here with my wife celebrating an anniversary. The wait staff was awesome. The menu is a bit limited and different but everything we had we enjoyed. They started us with complimentary champagne and ended with complimentary after dinner drinks.

A perfect dinner in a perfect location. The menu is very balanced and fits wonderfully into the Chianti region. The food was wonderfully prepared and the guests were very classy. Idyllic spot for a restaurant on the 'edge ' of a mountain. What a location, what a view! Service here is perfect, you feel more than welcome here as a guest. During lunch they use a somewhat smaller menu than during dinner. There are plenty of similarities between the two. Lunch menu with matching wines is definitely worth a try. Wines are of top quality and are literally bottled next door. Delicious food, even with children. 1 minus; With dishes of this quality, you wouldn 't expect the pannacotta to come out of the freezer...

We received a warm welcome to the restaurant. The maitre d’ invited us in and offered to make a wine tour booking for us, for the monastery next door. We only had a main course each but both were epic. I had fish and my husband had the pork belly, accompanied by side dishes of roast potatoes and a plate of green vegetables. Perfectly cooked, presented and tasted superb! We had two glasses of wine, a white and a red both paired well with the meal. Followed by two coffees. In the summer it looked like you could eat outside under a beautiful vine covered pergola. Here the view would be truly magnificent. Good service great food I would highly recommend.

We'd visited Badia a Coltibuono a couple of times before and taken the tour around the gardens, cellars and tasted some wines and whilst doing this we'd seen the restaurant and thought it would be a nice place to have a meal. So that is exactly what we did. A beautiful view over the valley below, framed by the roses and the trees can be seen from the outside tables. The service was friendly and well paced even though there were only two waiters with quite a few people. We started with a plate of meats with what looked like a little savoury profiterole filled with chicken liver paté. Very tasty and nice olive oil to go with it.
