Brasserie Hülsmann - Menu

Nice place for dinner with friends or family. The meal is just delicious. Very loud though. And they don’t take any reservation. Nevertheless it’s a place to visit.

We were there with our friends for a dinner. It’s not about fashionable place but it is about very tasty food. I ordered fish in sesame seeds and fish tarrine- it was delicious! You can not book a table on advance, it’s only possible to...queue and we did not regret for doing that.

We love this place. Come quite often. But today they seem to have forgotten our order. Have been waiting for over and a half hour. Their excuse is that it is really full. IT IS ALWAYS FULL!!!! The excuse is terrible. The truth would...have been much better. She could have said they forgot. Whatever.

We were not treated the best. To begin with, expensive restaurants like this should let the customers know that they don’t take Credit Card when you come in I ordered Duck confit and was not available. The server came back with a similar option bu...at the end was much more expensive... Not my first choice in Dusseldorf

We've been through our Christmas party yesterday, yes, because it was an experience! The dishes just super delicious. Thanks to the whole cooking team! This summer back in Dusseldorf again, we had to go to Huelsmann after a great experience about month before. Well it was worthwhile to do so. Joined by the same friends, we all agreed, the food lived up to our high expectations and if...you like to eat as you can only in a very good brasserie in France, try this one, if you're in Dusseldorf. And if you like to add a German element order an Alt Beer.

It is indeed a busy place at most days and privacy on such occasions is not an option. I do find it a bit to close seating at times and would recommend to allow customers more comfort at least for their own table discussions. The...menu has a wide choice yet with very good seasonal references. Never had a bad meal , taste and size of portions is always fine. The service is a lucky game to be honest. You can at one day have a truly nice attentive environment yet again the very next day another person and the world of service appears from another planet. I visited the place with two colleagues and we were treated very badly. First we were asked to wait at the bar until the person arrives (that’s ok but we were starving) and when we asked later if we can sit down got lost a bit) the waiter questioned where my other colleague is. I said he is min away (and he was) to which I got a reply ‘that is always what they tell me’. We got sat at the smallest table of course since we didn’t seem reliable. Needless to say it was too small for people. The evening followed with one other waiter dropping the drinks behind my colleague and spilling some of it on her coat, while later more glass was broken right next to us.
