"I booked a table of 20 here for some business colleagues on the advice of an Austrian friend who works in Innsbruck. We were all staying at the Penz West Hotel which is just across the road so the location was ideal. We booked several weeks in advance; bookings are highly recommended as it seems very busy at all times. Lovely traditional menu, friendly service and good selection of local wines. Between us, we ordered most of the items on the menu and the food was universally good. They weren't too happy to split the bill at the end of the night fair enough, only a small hassle for us to sort out. Overall a great meal and I would happily eat here again."

Very nice place close to the Innsbruck airport with a good selection of wines and wonderful food. We had the great late lunch during the waiting time for the flight back home. Thank you!

Good food, very good service, but overpriced even for Innsbruck. Drinks are ok, wines are too pricey, because it's not an really star restaurant. But it's close to the airport, what may explain the prize range, and for a nice evening with companions it is ok.

Only came across Burkia as a result of a flight delay. Food and service top class in this gem of a place within a short walk of the airport if you have time the wine list is really something special (very reasonably priced too). Next time in Innsbruck I’ll make time to go back again.

Delicious food, very friendly stuff! It seems a bit expensive, but it is worth every single cent! I ordered the Entrecôte and a Nougat dump. It was delivered quickly, fresh and delicious! You have a day card. You have to go to Burkias homepage to see it. I highly recommend going there / eating from there! View menu

This restaurant is located in a sports facility that has tennis courts. While you would probably expect a simple restaurant that offers meals and snacks after a game of tennis, Burkia offers excellent meals and a varied menu. I had a local specialty Tiroler Gröstl which is a variation of the Tafelspitz that is often served in Vienna. In Tirol it is panfried and served with a fried egg. Great taste and a good choice for lunch. Atmosphere and service is very good. The restaurant is close to the airport.

Having checked in at the crowded, tiny, Innsbruck airport we were happy to find this place to have lunch at. Just a few hundred meters from the terminal it is a super alternative to the overpriced airport coffeeshops. We felt very welcome, service was fast and friendly, the place clean if a bit unimaginative. Austrian food seemed to be the thing so we all ordered a Tyrolean sandwich. A burger-type beef, lots of fried onion and fried eggs it was on the heavy side, but the salad included was very fresh and good. The food called for a beer but the winelist seemed quite good.

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."
