"Un locale che ha fatto suo la concezione della tradizione e della buona cucina Mantovana. Si avvale di prodotti freschi del territorio e con alcune rivisitazioni, sa dare, oltre che a mantenere i piatti della tradizione anche alcuni piatti rivisitati, che ne esaltano gusti e sapori che si lasciano ricordare. La gestione è fatta da giovani entusiasti ed appassionati al mondo della ristorazione. Cortesia ed accoglienza fa si di aver la percezione di essere ospiti.... il locale si ritrova in una posizione visibile passando, essendo su una delle strade principali della città. Un arredo che ha saputo coniugare una linea moderna senza intaccare e poter mantenere cosi, la storia del locale. Al suo interno pochi sono i coperti a disposizione, che nella stagione estiva dispone di un plateacico antistante che aumenta la capacità di accoglienza. Se è pur vero che la qualità non sta nella quantità, è vero anche che le porzioni sono decisamente centellinatte. Appena più di un assaggio... Rapporto prezzo qualità, medio/alto."

"Più un'esperienza che un pasto, di quelle che ricordi per tutta la vita.Cercherò di essere il più breve possibile:per ormai tre anni ho sentito parlare magistralmente di questa Osteria situata nella parte più bella del centro storico di Mantova.Oggi, finalmente, insieme a mia madre abbiamo deciso di far loro visita.Il locale è relativamente piccolo, ma non claustrofobico, lo definirei intimo come essere in una taverna di casa.L'antipasto da noi selezionato, la crudità di mare, è la specialità del luogo: ricci di mare, scampi, tartare di tonno, gamberi ed ostriche, tutti con un sapore ed una freschezza che, nonostante io abbia provato più di ristoranti, non ho mai trovato da nessuna parte.I primi sono creativi e new age ma comunque rispettosi della tradizione napoletana fulcro dell'esperienza.Infine i dolci, artigianali e prodotti a regola d'arte.Il tutto viene arricchito ed elevato ad un livello superiore dal personale, un cameriere simpatico, gentile, rapido e sempre sul pezzo e ultimo ma non ultimo il famigerato Giannino, cuore pulsante dell'Osteria, personaggio unico e che vale da solo le cinque stelle.Non curatevi delle recensioni miste o negative, ognuno può avere i suoi gusti, ma la cucina ed i prodotti di questo locale sono oggettivamente superiori a qualunque altro locale di Mantova.Complimenti, Vi siete fatti altri due clienti fedeli ed abituali"

"My partner and I both had the pumpkin mousse in a cheese sauce for starter. It was really special. Then I had pasta with chanterelles, my partner had couscous with croaker fish; both were excellent. I had pumpkin ice cream with ginger for dessert. My partner had pistachio ice cream in a pastry case with figs and salted caramel sauce. We each had a glass of cabernet sauvignon and a bottle of water between us. The bill was 79 euros. This was very sophisticated food with distinct and delicate flavours. You won't find dishes like this in your average restaurant. They also try very hard to be helpful."

"Unfortunately only time for a quick lunch so took their all inclusive menu: One course, a glass of wine, water and coffee 10€ or 2 courses, glass of wine, water and coffee for 16€. Excellent value. I had the Riso alla Pilota , and it was sublime... Vialone nano rice cooked for nine minutes in boiling salted water then covered and left to stew while the « salamella » is cooked sausage meat without its casing is sautéed until ready. The rice is added it should have absorbed the water by then) and it finishes cooking until al dente only a few minutes if necessary. A dusting of Grana Padano We are North of the Po river: Parmigiano Reggiano is South of the river) and voilà, simple and perfect. Was given a choice between two white wines a Bianco di Custoza and a Prosecco° and Two reds a Merlot and a Lambrusco). Went with the Merlot and it was really good. My collleague also had a main course of steak and salad. The choice was two « Primi» Penne coi fagioli pasta with beans in tomato sauce, and Riso alla Pilota) and two « secondi » Steak with salad or roast veal with roast potatoes) though one colleague went for an enormous salad instead.. There was an à la carte menu available as well but we wouldn’t have had time: will go back in the evening. Service a bit brusque but genuine and extremely efficient the waitress would take no nonsense so don’t go expecting a waiter sucking up to you but believe me, the food is spectacular and after all that’s what you want, right?"

"Exquisitely contemporary, pleasant and welcoming location just a few steps from new tea garden. The dishes ordered were not only beautiful to look at but also very good thanks to the excellent quality of the raw materials. The prices are high, especially for the portions of the first courses (excellent Pad Thai, too bad it was so little). The service was good and calm, albeit very slow. It remains the best Japanese restaurant in Mantua. Service: Dine in"
