"I nipped here for breakfast with a friend. My food came with an eyelash and other debris on the top. I was not offered a replacement by the wait staff, nor was the manager promoted to drop by l, as I finished my hot drink, to apologise or make any amends, despite knowing I was unhappy. My food was refunded (when I asked for this to happen) but the level of customer service generally, and particularly from the person running the café at the time, was appalling. I will return for a cuppa as I’m local and it’s a handy spot to meet friends, but I will never order food again. So disappointing."

This is a fantastic spot for food, plants, and more, with a delicious deli and a genuine butcher! It's the perfect place to stop along the main road.

We visited both the garden centre and the food hall. Both are excellent, with a good selection and excellent quality. The food hall has so many different goodies and the best quality meat so if you want good food, it's a great place to go.

Love the Dutch Nursery! The food hall is excellent, always a large selection with lots of great bits. The cafe is great, food is really good. Staff are lovely and friendly. Always a pleasure visiting the Dutch Nursery, the best garden centre around. View menu

Great Mamma Mia night at The Dutch Market Place. Enjoyed a delicious moussaka meal, followed by The Mia Mammas providing a super trooper of an evening of great Abba songs, then finishing their set with a selection of disco tunes. Lots of fun and dancing had by all!

This restaurant is reminiscent of Pearce's Farm Shop in Buntingford. I stopped by for lunch and a drink. The cafe is delightful, with excellent customer service. In addition to the cafe, there is a garden center, gift shop, and food shop. It's a lovely spot to visit if you're in the area.

We love The Dutch Nursery, the food hall has a great selection of fresh food, deli and store cupboard treats. The nursery has a wide selection of plants and flowers. The cafe is great value and the food is very fresh and tasty. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you Dutch Nursery Team for being so amazing View menu

Stopped during our shopping to haveca snack(bacon sandwich)We do like the new table service rather than the horrible queue that we had before lockdown which was so laborious and tedious. Much much better with the table service routine. Whilst there we did notice how well the waiters cleaned the tables and chairs between customers. Thanks for taking care of the customers so well

We had a great time participating in the Easter Egg Hunt at the Dutch Marketplace. We searched the garden centre for clues and eventually found some lovely Easter Treasure for our children. It was exciting to find hidden Easter picture signs and we ended the event with a cup of tea, juice, biscuits, and chocolate gingerbread. Despite the not-so-great weather, we are looking forward to attending future events like this one.

"A slightly bizarre experience we were welcomed warmly, taken to our table, and given a menu for pre dinner drinks. No food menus were brought. We ordered drinks, which arrived, but still no menus! So we asked for them. No wine list brought. So we asked for one. All rather odd. The starters were mixed a bland crab risotto, a rather vinegary tartare, an excellent parfait and a crispy egg which needed to be runnier, but was tasty, if too salty. The odd service continued: three of the four of us had finished do the waiter cleared our plates including the one of our friend who hadn’t finished, who was left holding a cracker in her hand! The mains were again mixed and generally over salty. The ravioli were excellent; the steak good but in a sauce which was heavy handed on the seasoning, the fish pleasant, again slightly salty and verging on the overcooked. We had chocolate soufflé for pudding generally well made and tasty, but again the service was odd an ice cream was pushed into it at the table by the waiter which caused a good amount of soufflé to fall inelegantly onto the serving plate; the cheese plate was an interesting but small selection of well kept cheese. Good petit fours (though we were surprised that one containing nuts was offered to us all despite one of us not eating nuts, which we had mentioned). So probably four stars over all, but only just. It’s good to see the restaurant open again but based on this experience, while it’s fine dining, it’s got some way to go to reach the standard of cooking I’m sure they’d like to aspire to."
