"Decided to come here instead of hotel breakfast. It's right down from the train station. Just came in for pastries and coffee. Coffee was coffee, but the pastries were delicious. Got a couple cupcakes and a slice of something. They were moist, not too sweet....Did not look through the menu, but I'm guessing the same quality would be found with what was offered. Place is decorated in mix-match tables and chairs and had a cozy feel to it. They do not accept credit or debit card. They only take the EC bank cards and cash. There is a Sparkasse ATM by the train station, which is just a minute down the road. If I had more time in Koblenz I would have come back to try menu items"

Nice little place with good coffee, great cakes and a wonderful hostess who (especially in comparison to other restaurants) helps for the non-german speaking customers

Nice location, very relaxing, with good quality food, very tasty. I was lucky to find this place on Valentines day. I will be coming hear more often and share this location with friends. Tremendous, very cosy, a hidden treasure.

My wife and I walked here from the Altstadt for breakfast. We were glad we did. The coffee was excellent, the food delicious (especially the homemade marmalade), and the service as friendly as it gets. We plan to come back to try the cake and...again for more breakfast

We skipped the comfort of breakfast at the hotel in favor of this place and it was absolutely worth it. We were pleasantly surprised by the creative combinations used to make the spreads and by their variety. The fact that it was a perfect sunny...day and we got to sit outside was the icing on the cake

We came here for cake and it was delicious! We had a chocolate-cherry cake and a white-chocolate carrot pie and promptly came back the next day for the breakfast buffet. Lovely staff and owner and surprising flavor-combinations that you wouldn't find anywhere. We'll definitely be...back here when we visit Koblenz again

my absolute favorite café! often at the weekend is the breakfast with friends. the breakfast buffet is completely fresh and the rolls come from my own production especially recommended are the self-baked cakes that are joined together according to the old recipe of the oma. the atmosphere there I would describe as very cozy, since the spatialities are not very open and large.

Cosy little place with very friendly staff and healthy food (in our opinion of course). We loved the breakfast so much, we returned the next day for more. The buffet offers freshly baked breads (including gluten free), sweet and savory muffins, biscuits/scones, various homemade spreads...prepared with healthy ingredients (walnuts, salmon, Brie, carrot, yogurt cheese, avocado,...etc), as well as sliced cheese, ham and salami. All at a reasonable price. We would definitely visit Guglhupf again when visiting Koblenz

So good! The lemon blueberry cake had the best fluffy whipped cream frosting that was a bit of a mess by the time I got to it on my train ride, but was a fantastic dairy equivalent. I can't wait to come back to Koblenz some day to try more cakes and their breakfasts. The tofu scramble looked very tasty. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen was nicely played and looked very inviting. On a warm summer morning, the out door tables will be a great place to spend the day. Super close to the train stations as well. What a great time to be vegan around there! Also has a Thai restaurant next door that I was told had great vegan food fwiw.

"we visited this restaurant on Sunday afternoon in august because of the unusual number of bees in this summer and because the sky covered looked; we thought whether we should sit inside or outside. we finally decided to eat outside and it didn't rain... and we only saw a bee during our meal. we have not made reservations before our visit. fortunate we found another table free when we arrived outside. the kitchen is specialized in German kitchen. the menu is a limited menu with fixed tellers. the menu was easy to read and understand. salate, suppen and fish dishes are also available for vegetarians. the menu also offers dishes for small seniors or large appetit and dishes for children. prices are average; the portions are average and fair. the menu is also available in the entrance to the restaurant. also in the hof beer garden hang several black tables with food offers on the wall. When our menus arrived, we ordered our drinks at the same time. our drinks came quickly and were nicely cold with ice – which was nice on a hot day and our drinks came before our food arrived as it should be. and we didn't have to play the drinking game; where someone else brings your drinks and then asks you again who ordered something. we had to play this game at the end of our eating when my partner ordered coffee. they also serve pepsi and not cola if they care. I can drink both. Shortly after we had ordered our drinks, we were served brot in a small turndown paper bag with a paprikabutter. the little brown bag was a new idea, but when the brot was gone, the bag started blowing away from the wind. I had to grab it and complain with something on the table. so, brown bag for the brotromanidee, but no such good idea. our mixed salads were freshly served with a great salatdressing. both supplement salads were served at the same time and before our main dish, as it is. Moreover, our food came fast, but the negative was that our appetizers came before we finished with our salads; not ideal. another novel, but functioning idea was that our waitress accepted our food and drink orders at the table with a computerized ordering system that immediately transmitted our order to the kitchen. Moreover, we noticed that the waiters and waiters wore a simple uniform of carved green hot and jeans, giving them a professional look. I ordered the carving from the black back, with sliced bratkartoffeln, no pommes, therefore substitutions are possible and salads for euro, which were supplied with large pieces of carving. my partner ordered the fried chicken breast, with champignon cream sauce, pommes and salads for euro. I have tried the fried chicken breast of my partner and can therefore recommend both dishes as delicious. both meals were made of fresh meat, served hot and as we had ordered it. I noticed, however, that another guest has much more pommes than my partner; I suggest that this restaurant either fixes a standard or checks its current standard portion pommes to ensure consistency. While neither my partner nor me ketchup or mayonnaise was offered for our kartoffels, we did not ask for it either. the outside area of the restaurant is divided into sitting corners. the tables and chairs in the free are robust. the exterior decoration is simple in an old-fashioned brown wood motiw with wooden chairs, a wooden bench, a large wooden barrel and black boards on the wall with special items. from the exterior you sit in a pleasant garden atmosphere with living plants, bushes and trees. the tables in the free are simply decorated, with: without tablecloth, salt and pepper shakers, coasters, ashtrays and paper napkins, which I prefer with cutlery in the crippled. the outside area is spacious and well organized and the tables are nicely distributed so that people can move in the courtyard beer garden without disturbing other guests and also with full tables; it is not chair rest on chair rest. there are usually tables that can be put together for groups or persons. So if they put together the tables and chairs when needed, it would be a great place for a special occasion or a large group. sunshades covered the exterior and each sunshade had a light underneath. I was not in the restaurant during this visit, so I can't evaluate anything about the interior of the restaurant as the restaurant is from the walkway back, the street noise is greatly reduced and the beer garden is quiet. it's a pity that the restaurant has no background music outside. Unfortunately, the three minus points when sitting outside from some tables one has a look at a mülleimer, but the area around the mülleimer was clean, are the smoker, but it is better to have the smoker outside than inside and is the pass through? and the bottom of the terrace was not clean, with some cigarettes tipping and some paper müll on the floor. when the waitress picked up our empty teller, she asked if everything was in order. then my partner ordered a coffee and when she came back, we played the drinking game. when my partner was finished with her coffee, we paid our bill, got the right change money, the waitress gave her drink and drove home. this restaurant has no own parking space and therefore you have to look for a parking space in a side street and pay for parking. about meters from the restaurant is a city park, which is often full. However, we have found a parking lot here for the good, and since Sunday was, parking was not necessary. Access for disabled people: negatiw is that disabled people have to find a parking space in a side street, at least meters away. but the passage to the beer garden and the beer garden itself are at the same height. while walking disabled persons can easily reach the dining areas in the open, access to the restaurant in the interior is not so easy due to the two stages before the restaurant entrance. this restaurant has its own internet site. this website contains many information such as address, telephone number, opening times, email contact information, photos, special offers, special events and an online drink and feed card. but it is only in german. Conclusion: due to ease, taste, price, service and atmosphere, my overall rating for this restaurant is a high recommendation. we will be back"
