Good quality food. Great service highly recommended. By far the best established indian restaurant in Chipping Norton.

First visit in months. Reasonable tikka and shashlik but tikka lacked garlic and ginger flavour and was missing the smokey tandoor taste. Sundries fine. Will give it another go.

Visited 15-6-24 for anniversary meal. Good selection on menu. Food delicious and plentiful, served by pleasant staff. Would highly recommend this establishment, well worth a visit.

Never had a bad experience here! Walked in and ordered a takeaway, and was out with my food within 15 minutes! While I waited, they offered me a complimentary drink, and they also included some poppadoms on the house with my meal. Great service, great people! View menu

Great food and friendly service. Really tasty spicy curry and freshly cooked breads. A fabulous traditional curry house and a welcome relief in a town where most things are overpriced or stuffy. Met with a smile at the door, well fed, and you can even bring your own alcohol too.

While lodging across the street, we stumbled upon Cafe Le Raj by chance. The staff greeted us warmly and offered helpful suggestions. Upon their recommendation, we tried the Papadum set for an appetizer, which turned out to be a delightful surprise—refreshing and delicious; even our three-year-old enjoyed it. For our main course, we opted for the lamb balti, which was cooked to perfection in a flavorful curry sauce. The portion sizes were generous, almost too much to finish; we could have easily shared. The final bill was pleasantly affordable, though I mistakenly assumed the service charge was included. Upon leaving, I realized my oversight regarding tipping culture, and I regretted not inq...

I was very surprised when I see this place had stopped serving alcohol, and a meal out here showed exactly why. We walked in at a premium time and the restaurant was like a ghost town. The owner was away and his clueless staff brought his once great place down to its knees. Food was bland and cold, portion size nowhere near what it was before. Waited ages between dishes for food to be brought and plates to be taken away. I was then horrified to find out when I got home that the place had been given a 1 star trip advisor rating!
