"I went there in a morning around 10 am for a meeting and was happy to be welcomed as well by the waiters and barman. I ordered a grand déjeuner which has a lot of things and is very decent for a foodie. I got...scrambled eggs with two slices of bacon, a tea, a pain au chocolat and a fresh lemon (I won't order that one as it was very sour as I didn't want to put sugar in it, my own mistake) for 9€sth less than 10€ The waiters came regularly to see if I needed something else. It is opposite to the Gare de Montparnasse and definitely a nice place to wait for your train or just spend some time. They have a nice room upstairs. I decided to stay for a late lunch and order their oceane salade very delicious and filling with a glass of their amazing ginger beer for a ginger fan like me. I'll be back there to try more of their menu."

This was picked at random having just traveled into Paris. Friendly, nice ambience but wildly varying quality of the meals, some were nice, others bordering on the poor e.g. how do you serve a steak which, generously, might be termed lukewarm. If I hadn't been...so tired I'd have sent it back. Yet other dishes were ok.

we ordered the complete breakfast. 1. they take the command wrong, bring us two fried eggs instead of one dice. 2. the eggs they bring have hardly touched the pan, speck did not cook. 3. if they complain about it, they try to defend themselves and. no apologies and compensation. how hard it is to freeze a cold. if that doesn't work, what does that do?

We stopped here on our way to another destination, having come up from the Gaite metro station. It was obvious that there were several people here who were regulars and there was a feeling of cameraderie about the place. We stuck to ourselves, ate our...breakfast and were on our way but felt welcomed. The food was very good and it was a refreshing stop with lots on the street to watch while we ate. View menu

My wife and I called into this restaurant by chance after a busy day of sightseeing in Paris. The matre de immediately provided us with English menus and made my wife and I very welcome. My wife had a cheese plate, I had beef bourguignon....Perfect!!! Far too much cheese for my wife to eat. Our server provided a container to take what was left back to our hotel. Our experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

we look forward to this experience. my teen daughter and I. first they didn't have our reservation and seemed confused even though I had the confirmation on email. we have a table directly at the bar and a loud loud loud speaker with loud pop music....There was a lot of noise from the bar. the plate du jour was sold out and it was only 6pm. we ordered a steak and a psychic. the food was blanching and the steak was burned. hardly sweet. really despised.

I came Saturday May 19. Ok, so I get it, French service is a strange culture. However, this place was not busy, the waitress was a little rude, spent most of the time talking with her colleague. The waitress also kept responding with"yeah in such...an informal manner because I did not speak French. It's a shame because the food was ok, not great but with the terrible service it's certainly isn't a place I would recommend to anyone. Never coming back here or recommending it to people. we sat on Tuesday for a meal. the caffe was not overcrowded and it seemed a lot to wait staff, but we waited at least 10 minutes on a menu, then another 20 minutes for an order of a few glasses. of wine, guacamole and a charcuterie platter. our waiter 18) was terribly outpatient, while he took our order, although he spoke English and my man Frenchd. he should probably rethink his chosen career. the guacamole was not very good; it came with purple potato chips, but the wee and the charcuterie platter was excellent.

I stopped here on a walk from my hotel to the Eiffel tower, simply stopped for a quick coffee. Sat out the front in the extensive seating area in the sun was perfect, we ended up staying for 2. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed...with waiters on hand and never seeming to stop. In the end we can back to eat on the Sunday evening. It was like a different cafe, still 5 star but perfect for an evening meal. Again the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly with the wait staff not missing a beat. The menu was nice and simple and the food was fantastic. If you are after a nice french cafe this would be on the top of this list. I really do look forward to coming back.
