"Looking for a place to grab a bite in the rain we stumbled upon this cafe. Very friendly staff and lots of locals. What we realised, albeit too late, is that locals all took coffee or a drink, it is the tourists that ate. Clearly a mistake. High points first: nice fish fillet for the daily special and really great potato wedges for the side dish. However, burger was average at best and the Caesar salad (ordered as own meal) was terrible. First of all it was made with regular lettuce and something that resembled a 1000 Islands dressing. The lettuce was actually half rotten. This "pleasure" alone cost us 15 euro. Given the friendly service (and I believe it was genuine) I did not complain strongly, hough I did mention that the Caesar wasn't really a Caesar. In response I got an innocent "well, it had sauce, croutons and cheese". Super cute, but the moral of the story, in Parisian bistros take a drink or coffee, but don't bother with international-type food."
