Good place for light or not so light lunch and dinner; excellent choice of tapas and good wines to go with the meal. Walking distance from the boutique hotel Villa Achenback.

Delicious tapas, paella and great wine. Friends at table ordered liver and lamb and said it was really good. Waiter was helpful finding Gluten free choices for my niece. Recommend restaurant.

Had a really great time in it, stuff extremely professional and friendly. Was always on top of our needs before we even ask them. Our meals were incredible, you could really taste all the ingredients! Would go again at my next visit for sure!

I popped into this tapas quite by accident and was very surprised at the quality of service..amazing dishes and wide menu for choices. It is not really "small plates" as the tapas name indicate but apparent the chef is top notch get. I had the avocado/artichoke salad, beef steak and potatoes fritte. Definitely enough for two and cooked to perfection.reasonably priced

This became our restaurant of choice for a 2 night stay in Dusseldorf. I traveled with 2 very fussy companions who like plain food and the team in the Cala D'Or were so accommodating. The menu choice was excellent and the wine list impressive and good value. We had a mixture of cuisines, we would highly rate the steak and fish dishes including a hake with saffron and an octopus dish.

Restaurant Cala d'Or is a nice place to go out with colleagues, friends or just the two of you. The restaurant is big enough for smaller groups but has some quite corners as well. It offers a great variety of cold and hot tapas and Spanish specialty dishes; they all taste very good and authentic. The red and white house wines are excellent. The service is accurate and friendly. If you go there once, you will be coming back.

Wanting to practise my Spanish I tried to reserve a table using that language. I had to fall back on my second language German because the receptionist couldnt speek Spanish. My wife and I had a fantastic night, enjoying 5 or 6 tapas, washed down with lots of cerveza! We returned this july and had yet another excellent night. Conveniently buses and trams stop outside so it was easy to get back to our hotel, the Ibis.Booking recomended!

Sometimes you get taken by local friends to their neighbourhood hangout and, just sometimes, you come away drooling. I lived in Spain for four years and can't think of anywhere - even in the Pais Vasco - that rivals this place. It's not a huge place, it's buzzy but not differenty atmospheric - nice touch with all the wooden wine case labels on one wall, though - and the menu reads interestingly enough. But words cannot describe the brilliance of the food here. Three of us went and had ten of the tapas dishes to share. This restaurant is definitely one of the best Spanish restaurant in town. It’s low key and unknown, its located in north of flingern. The restaurant is great for date and special occasions as well as big group gatherings. The food is very authentic the chefs...are all original from Spain. The selection of Spanish wine is absolutely a plus. It’s open till late, after dinner you can enjoy different kinds of beers and cocktails. Sangria is my favorite, especially in this summer time with a glass of sangria sitting outdoor, while enjoying the summer breeze, the feeling brought me back to Barcelona.
