"The exterior of the Chalet lyrique is simply ugly and uninviting. The interior is not much better and looks like an upgraded canteen. The menu of the day started with a small chicken breast salad, followed by a main dish of stewed kangaroo meat. Well, what does it taste like? It pretty much tasted between beef and deer, without being too much gamey. The dessert of cream cheese with jam was fairly good too.We paid 35 Euro including a cup of coffee and a bottle of mineral water. The mineral water was a needless expense as we also got a free carafe of tap water anyway.Good value for money."

Basic good quality food extensive wine list served in pleasant surroundings. We ate here as we were staying in the hotel for the night.

Nice terrace, in summer is great to take the diner! I reccomend Menu Le Chalet, for 29 € you have great typical dishes from Aquitaine! Just try it, you wont regret!

Stayed at their Hotel, and although they have the monopoly on places to eat, it hasnt stopped them making great food. I would heartily recommend it as a stopover hotel and restaurant, whilst in the Bordeaux area

This is a great little Bistro with a fixed menu if you are staying in the hotel Service is quick and friendly, food is very fresh and well made No pretentious food here just well made local food, would defiantly return View menu

Terrible, run away !! very bad dishes, nothing's good, outdoor seats near from wastes.... All the dishes seem taken out of bad quality frozen food store !! And as there is no competitor on the place in seated food, the staff is very arrogant...

We have now visited this Brasserie 5 or 6 times. Food quality is good, wine choice sufficient, service can be brillant with only half of the tables occupied, when it is busy device declines rapidly. My advise go early at 7:30 pm, makes a hell of a difference.

I ate here with my husband and our dog. On the second occasion with husband, mother and dog. Each of us loved the experience. It isn't haute cuisine, it is some of the bistro style food that you'll find. And more than that in a convivial atmosphere. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in late spring and summer View menu

I have been pleased with the starter - Casserons à la plancha aux saveurs du soleil - which provides great sunny flavour. Then, the Brochette de saumon mariné, citron, herbes fraîches - Compotée de poivons, in a similar holidays extension spirit. Finally the Coulant au chocolat, coeur chocolat blanc was unexpectedly home made, with nice texture.Service was nice and not too slow for a crowded lunch time.

Under new management 2014 but the same staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. Traditional bistro food. We eat here regularly and can only say we have always had very positive experiences here. You can guarantee a high standard for any a la carte dish - especially beef and duck, oysters. The lunchtime menu is also good value. Top quality local wines from the Pessac Leognan region. Groups from local chateaux often eat here too!
