"There are many reasons that about 95% of the reviews of this restaurant are either excellent or very good. While the location is not what you would call fancy or the interior spectacular (although it is very pleasant), the food and service are both spectacular. I came here for the first time one week ago and when I returned I was warmly greeted and taken care of as nicely as I was during my first visit. It is a relatively smallish family operated business and its obvious that they realllly know what they are doing and they reallly care too. The owners are very personable and Laura (who speaks just enough English and is really charming) all contribute to making you feel very comfortable. Everything that I had on both visits was amazingly tasty and very well plated (presented). Awesome appetizers (salmon the first time and escargots the second time), delicious main courses (lamb the first time and beef the second time) as well as the desserts that hit the spot perfectly. They suggested wines that were soooo good too.People that live here demand really great food. They certainly get it here.Would I go back for more? DEFINITELY!!! Probably in the next week or two if not sooner."

This place was very refreshing. In a region where most everything is expensive, this place provided a welcome break. Great food at a great price (even by French standards). The service was outstanding (in English) as well. No reservations online (phone only).

So tasty food!!! Great service: I arrived at the last moment before the closure, impolite of me. Nevertheless, I've gotten the 1st class service. The food was very tasty a generously served. Will definitely come back on my business and private trips. Warmly recommended!

We went to this small local restaurant for lunch on tripadvisor recommendation. It was superb. The restaurant is small, seats less than 30 I guess, but the food is fabulous. We had the nicest glass of Rose that I have ever had, the best soup and everything else was faultless. We had a delightful waitress who was more than happy to help us decipher some of the finer points of the menu. Great value too.

We booked as a recommendation from the lady who rented us accommodation. It is a small corner restaurant which is not easy to get to if you do not have a car but well worth the effort of getting a taxi. The menu has a good range of creative options beautifully presented, a good balance of options for everyone. Four of us felt very at home with its easy atmosphere, we choose some good wines and the bill was still affordable in french bordeaux standards

This restaurant is a bit outside of the city center but more than worth the effort to get there. The menu has a nice variety of creative options not the duck and foie gras that seems to be the main offering everywhere else. We had the vegetarian sushi & eggs with crab for entrees and the veal linguini & a fish for mains. The desserts of creme brûlée and profiteroles were delicious as well. The service is friendly and enough English is spoken to manage.

We have been visiting France over and over for the last 30 years; from north-south, east-west. We love French cuisine and, Bistrot de France offers the best!. Their little cozy, family friendly environment makes you feel in France!. Their customer care is excellent. Miss Laura, a young, very especial server, so lovely and knowledgeable of their cuisine and what to recommend according to your preferences. This restaurant is a most if you are at Bordeaux-Pessac area

This was a charming restaurant as others have said, with very attentive staff and beautifully prepared and presented food. It is not far from Merignac Airport and it is easy to park. It was very busy with people of all ages, including babies and a lovely atmosphere both inside and out on the terrace. We were glad we booked a table. The dishes we chose were all beautifully presented with quirky additions; flowers, nut ice cream, pears in combination with the main ingredients. The provenance of the meat is evidently important to the staff, who were keen to explain it. A lovely evening and one, we hope we can repeat, next time we visit Bordeaux airport. Merci à tout!

We wanted to have lunch on our way to Bordeaux Airport for a flight home after a holiday in the area. This restaurant is about 10 minutes drive from the airport and had some great reviews so we decided to try it. Since it was a Tuesday lunchtime, we didn't make a reservation but we probably should have - the restaurant was busy, although they did have a table for us. We both had fish dishes which were excellent as were the desserts. Our kids had the steak haché "menu enfant" and really enjoyed it - the fries were especially good.Service was excellent. Our waitress had very good English and answered any questions we had about the menu, including making some good recommendations. The only negat...

This place is amazing. Me and my boyfriend were in the area(suburb of Bordeaux) and the great reviews we saw on TripAdvisor didn't disappoint us!A small family restaurant with great food!We orders one "daily menu" and another deal, both consists of appetizer, main dish and a dessert. The daily menu dishes were cheap but still ok. As you can see on the fotos, it's all being served really appetizing. The orange soup was ok. The mash potatoes with the fish and the beacon on top was Nice. The other appetizer was delicious! We added 3 more Europe but it was totally worth it. Amazing wild moshrooms with some kind of cheese on top. The main dish was fish and black risotto. Very unique and amazingly...
