I have visited this restaurant several times and recommend it for a no-nonsense menu in a friendly atmosphere. the steak is always excellent, also served with very good chips (not thin rods). I had other things there, but again and again to steak as it is so good! the owner is friendly and speaks several languages. also a good selection of wines.

Barbara is a very nice lady and tried hard, BUT Did not deliver all the dishes we ordered and they were OK but ordinary. I could easily do as well at home. Apart from very ordinary service, onion soup had a slice of bread on...top, the mashed potatoes saved with both our meals were more Australian than French ie dry a& lumpy, and finally my duck was **** awful, burnt on the outside and dry. As stated above, don’t bother.

We were welcomed to Chez Barbara by a serious but friendly hostess. Yes, they were still open. We needed cheap and cheerful sustenance; we got that and more. She recommended a white wine when the one of our choice was not available and it was great substitute. It was cheaper too. My Croque Monsieur hit the spot, as I didn’t want a large meal. My husband’s beef bourguignon was delicious, the meat melted in the mouth and the mash potato buttery. We ate our meals while discussing our days adventures, not being disturbed. visited after good reviews on another page. this is a restaurant for local and the business world, so there is a beautiful change of tempos from the more plentiful tourist case caffes and restaurants. we thought to be a late light lunch in a...oded time between lunch and dinner, so it was not very busy at all, just a few men who had a drink after work. we had a glass of wine each. my wife had the suppe d’jour who was pumpkin she loved. I had the escargot since we were in paris for 5 days and I hadn't yet. they were a bit more gummy than I expected. I was glad that my wife found a meatless food that she enjoyed, but I was disappointed.

Super family restaurant nestled 3 minutes from the Champs Elysées. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. As for the boss Barbara, this eternal young girl is radiant, energetic, and ultra devoted to her customers. The house is very clean. You can have lunch there, dinner on the terrace or have a coffee without suffering from the noise of the traffic. If you want to eat well, in a relaxed atmosphere, go to Barbara's for a simple and cheerful moment. The only recommendation for enjoying this friendly place: the smile and friendliness of the customers are essential! If you are a grumpy customer, move on! Everyone is welcome at Barbara’s!

On our first day in Paris, my partner and I were incredibly anxious about our very poor French language skills and were looking for a place to have a meal where we wouldn’t be made to feel like dopes. The online menu for Chez Barbara...was not at all intimidating and we were drawn to this. Upon arriving, we were really very relieved to discover that the friendly staff gave us a menu in English! It sounds like a silly thing, but it makes the world of difference to feel welcomed despite not being proficient in French.
