Booked this for my birthday. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the service superb? Yes. Is the food fabulous? Yes. We had a wonderful evening. Just be prepared that this is not a cheap night.

chosen to spend anniversary dinner in this wonderful restaurant with tables overlooking the big canal. place that evokes unforgettable atmospheres, exceptional dishes and excellent wine. staff that define caring is to say little. If you want to spend an unforgettable dinner this is the right place. highly recommended.

I decided to do my engagement proposal at this place, all the customer service from few weeks ago working on the coordination and details was excepcional! At the place, everything was perfect, all the servers, managers and staff were very professional and the overall service was outstanding. I strongly recommend this place, has been my best experience in all the places I’ve known!

Mauro was gracious and accommodating. We had struggled with flight delays and travel mishaps and he made sure that we would still be able to keep our table. It was very much appreciated! Domenico was attentive and the service was impeccable. Chef Daniele Turco and his kitchen are truly exceptional. We couldn’t decide which dish we liked most! The tiramisu they brought out for my birthday was a very special treat, and very generous. We will remember this meal for a very long time and we look forward to dining at Club del Doge again.

First rate dinner, which of course you would expect in such a spot, and of course it is an expensive meal, but honestly not as much as I was expecting. Of course the decor is sumptuous and the service is professional at all levels but also rather friendly, which was nice. And though the wine list had some very expensive bottles there were plenty of good choices at reasonable prices. The pace of the meal was just right, and we did not feel hungry of stuffed when we were done. Very balanced. We also had a drink at their bar afterwards which was also very enjoyable.

Food was exquisite as you'd expect. It's very old world, so very hushed. I judge a place by how often my water glass is replenished I reckon it means they're aware of their client. I had to ask twice and the restaurant was pretty empty. I'm not entirely sure they have a wine list as the sommelier suggested wines... but not many alternatives. I was on my own so buying by the glass which is obviously limited so I was intrigued to see if this was a place that would sting me or if they had a good range. Glass of red was 49euro and my dessert wine was 28. Judge for yourself.

We arrived to Gritti Palace for a late lunch. We did not have a reservation, but being midweek and the week before Xmas, there were able to seat us right away. It is winter and therefore the outside patio on the canal was closed, but the inside dining room is opulent and over the top beautiful. Service from the moment we arrived was 5 star. Very polite and super attentive. Our server chatted us up about our trip and made great recommendations on the menu. If you are looking for an outstanding experience of eating in a palace, this is your place. As I mention the patio was closed due to weather, but after lunch, they let us hang out there to take photos on the canal. Our photos included the h...
