"the choice of drinks, different cakes, croques and sandwiches are very varied. chocolate drinks, coffee, teas and others, nothing to say there is for all tastes the very pleasant decoration. A beautiful terrace on the front..Price though quite high....A reproach that is unpleasant is that when you arrive at 6:40 pm, the waitress tells you: "imply to take away" we would have liked to consume on the terrace, but apparently, it was necessary that at 7:00 pm everything was arranged and the establishment closed. It is probably not specific to them but I have already encountered this problem in other institutions of the city. often in Valencian as in other cities, 19 hours is the hour to go. Look abroad, it's very flexible. Just cross the Belgian border and you've understood everything. I find that in france in general, many merchants are afraid to do a few more minutes. for them, are they aware of it?... it is an obvious lack to win."

doves coffee in valenciennes is a cozy, playful and warm place to take a coffee break or breakfast. The products are good, the correct prices, the helpful staff.

really nice scenery. On the other hand, I took a latty chai made with powder that doesn't really taste and rather expensive. I'm not gonna take off a latty sweater over there. View menu

It's the second time I'm gonna go downstairs and I'm not disappointed. the first time I took a macchiato and today a chocolate and a chocolate heart mice and it's succulent! Well served friendly personal. I've been enjoying myself and it's been very cool with that heat

Very warm and ideal place to take a coffee or eat a little bit on the thumb. their coffees, paninis and cookies are delicious especially that of white chocolate and red fruit. However, I find that only the student menu is profitable, because the other menus are for me a little too expensive. and unfortunately with friends we have fallen twice on good cookies but a little too hard for at all frai. and a team not as friendly as the last time ... despite that I will return there because it is nice to spend time there with friends despite the few hazards found.

"Finding a restaurant open in August in France can be a problem and I admit La Tourtiere was not our first choice but at the end of the evening we were all very pleased the other restaurants were closed! At first I was a little concerned as the menu was limited and had very little fish but our friend who is vegetarian ordered a Goat's Cheese salad which she was very happy with. I ordered the Pavé de Boeuf with a Maroilles cheese sauce and my wife chose the Veal with Maroilles sauce. We were given olives and a terrine of Rillettes before our order arrived which was very good, the only small criticism of the night was the home made brioch that was served with it. It simply did not go with Rillettes! As we had our friend's daughter with us she chose a steak haché from the children's menu When our plates arrived the were well presented and very generous! My beef was accompanied by haricot vert and a jacket potato and my wife's veal was sliced and baked in the oven with sliced potatoes covered in the sauce. By beef was very tender and cooked to perfection and the sauce was very rich which complimented the beef perfectly. My wife's veal was very tender and she enjoyed it immensely but struggled to finish the very generous dish. We did eventually order desserts, I ordered the Creme Brulée and my wife and friend both chose the Isle Flotant both dessert were excellent! My dessert arrived with the owner singing Happy Birthday to which everyone joined in and a second little birthday dessert on the side with a sparkler. I was to say the very least extremely happy, it was a lovely touch by the owners! Thank you. I would have no hesitation on visiting La Tourtiere again in the future or recommending the lovely little restaurant. With three main plates and three desserts plus a bottle of rosé and one child's menu the bill totalled 112€, excellent value for the quality of food and service we received!"
