"This chic and fashionable restaurant is located in the Hotel de Havelet and features a private terrace that offers stunning views of the bay and Castle Cornet. It's a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or evening cocktails. During our stay at the hotel, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast and a pleasant dinner. The brasserie-style cuisine was excellent, and we particularly savored the seafood, which included octopus salad, mussels, and sea bass, followed by a delicious chocolate dessert with ice cream."

The staff was friendly, and there was no wait time. The food was excellent. I had a bit of an incident with the chickpea burger falling on my head, but I managed to cut it in half, and it was delicious. The crab and avocado sandwich was lovely as well. The potato salad and steak fries were the sides, and both exceeded my expectations. I would love to sit back, enjoy a meal, and savor everything again.

Had breakfast and dinner during our stay at hotel de havelet. The choices are limited and the price is on the higher side considering the food options. But the staff and the chef are quite accomodating to offer some variations of the dishes on the menu which is always helpful especially when you are with family. The breakfast could have had more options for buffet which I think could have put less pressure on the staff members and make customers more self sufficient View menu

"Every aspect of the evening was perfect! This is by far the best dining experience in guernsey I have ever had. The venue is beautiful and all the details were taken into consideration. The staff are very attentive as we were immediately seated with menus and water. At the sushi bar we were served by the chef who was extremely helpful in suggesting some amazing sushi dishes. To start we had the tempura crab and calamari, the presentation was beautiful and it tasted delicious. We went on to try the dragon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, unagi nigiri and some sashimi. Both a long time sushi fan and stranger to the cuisine were impressed! We finished with a banoffee pie and chocolate tart for dessert. Both could melt in your mouth! I couldn't believe the banoffee pie was gluten and dairy free! I can't forget to mention the incredible bartender who made me some incredible cocktails. She was also very attentive, interacting with us with her trips to and from the bar, which just added the the already fun welcoming experience. I have to say that it is on the more expensive side but worth it 100 times over. Far better than anything else in Guernsey at the same price. In fact it was more than worth the money because between my friend and I we tipped 25%! For anyone who wants an amazing dining experience in Guernsey, whether you're a local or just visiting, go no further than The Hook!"

"fantastic 3 nights in the harbour view apartment adjacent to the duke of richmond hotel. the apartment was fantastic: even with its own entrance door from the street, it included the floor and the first floor of a converted city house (there is also garden apartment underneath). two large and comfortable bedrooms with large en suite bathroom upstairs, and a good living room, separate dining room, well equipped kitchen and garderobe wc in the ground floor. it looks recently renovated, I would say in the last 2 years, beautifully designed and well finished. perfect space and facilities for a family of 4 or two pairs. the hotel itself has been closed for renovation so that we do not use any of the facilities, or see much when it was over the lobby and reception, but it looked very beautiful. because the hotel was closed, we were offered a self-catering that was very reasonable. I would say that the normal rate (which includes breakfast, canapes, twice daily housekeeping etc) would also be fair. service was fantastic recipe and reservations personal were most helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. the location is good a short walk downhill through candie gardens to the main shopping restaurant. we were able to use one of the 5 parking places of the hotel all the time we were, what was great, but I could imagine that parking a bit a challenge in the summer."
