"The outside of the restaurant might make you worrying a little about the restaurant itself. But don't let this fool you. As soon as you step inside the place, you are greeted with a wonderfully arranged restaurant and gift shop. The place is big enough to also host business lunch or dinner in bigger groups. The food is simply delicious. The chef know his work and only serves you first class ingredients. The mixed starter platter is a delight and full with the most exquisite pieces of food from all across Italy. It is without a doubt, one of the best Italian places you can go in Switzerland. Danilo is a world class chef, and you can feel his excellence in every dish. It was a great experience and I am certain I will visit this place many more times."

The restaurant itself is a bit hidden and without knowing you may just drive by not realizing what you just missed. Casa Nostra serves delicious and real authentic Italian food. Danilo is a wonderful warm and friendly owner, and you can feel his passion for food. The hospitality is really really amazing. If you drive on the A3 near Mels – stop and give it a try. You will not regret it.

After traveling around Switzerland and parts of Italy the last week, we were happy to find our best Italian meal yet in Mels- thanks to Danilo! He personalized our appetizer and meals- the cured meat stuffed with arugula and marscapone, Gorgonzola gnocchi and the margarita pizza was amazing. Danilo even surprised us with a flambé fig dessert with almond gelato. We felt so lucky to have stumbled upon this special place and such a kind soul (who even let us buy beer from him since the stores were closed). Thank you for a memorable night in Mels, Danilo!!
