"Chosen from the outside appearance as looking more promising than some of the others in the town, modern, super counters of pastries. What a disappointment! They appeared to be preparing for a big event so more than half the menu was off and customers were...neglected. No pizzas of their menu), though we were hoping for better. Not much else either, just a choice of two ragus, one named as bolognese, the other fish we had one of each very poor indeed, and VERY slow service. Not given any bread with the meal though the next table were given two lots but the waitress didn't notice or care. No towels in the wc. Plastic throw-away cups for water. No explanations of what actually were available, just a take it or leave it' attitude. We should have left it and gone right away. Sloppy surly service. Very noisy, thoroughly unpleasant overall. Never got to try any of the good looking pastries as a result but won't be going back for another try. Worst meal we had in Sicily, worst in Italy, worst anywhere some years."

we are a family and this place meets the point. the owner spoke great English and helped to get food for our picky eater. the tomato cumber salad were a rare and delicious. the deserts are heavenly and in great abundance.

We came here after a whole day of sea in the evening. we have taken oranges, shorts and other Sicilian specialties from gastronomy we say. It was really good! Go absolutely. I'll come back to try everything I couldn't take

this restaurant serves as caffe, bakery and restaurant. we often visited to eat pasta, risotto and a special kind of shinitzel. we also had an egg that was huge and absolutely delicious. they can sit outside on the other side of the road. they start dinner to cook the clock, but the bakery and the ice is opened from tomorrow.

Friday night and we dropped in to have a meal as we hadn't tried this place...ohhh....how we wished we had gotten here sooner. Outstanding restaurant and food shop combined...brilliant pizzas and pasta and absolutely superb ice cream. The Owner was courteous and explained how she...had wanted to bring some of the NY gastronome food shop restaurant to this part of Sicily ...she did...top marks and really with visiting ...plus... unbelievably fast wifi

This clean and attractive cafe seems to be popular with local folks along the waterfront, and we had a wonderful lunch there on the recommendation of a tour guide from Agrigento. I had a spaghetti with pesto and small shrimp. It was a generous serving...and excellent. The place functions also as a wine bar, and the local wines by the glass are superb. The service is pleasant and helpful; the woman in charge speaks flawless English, but everyone will respond to your Italian as well. We enjoyed it very much.

we traveled from menfi to agrigento and had just visited the impressive scala dei turchi and, a little peckish, we started looking for somewhere for a light toe. we passed several farms that do not impress until we discovered cotti al forno. as we drove through porto empedocle. it was the first impression that started and there was also a series of people who were milling around the entrance. Let's try. we were not disappointed. they go into a well-organized display of hot and cold joys, which all looked appetizing. maggie chose a mozzarella and tomatensalat and I had a baked escalope with roasted cartomas and baptize exactly what the doctor ordered delicious, fresh and the service was frien...
