"We arrived at 1:30 and were offered lunch and afternoon tea menus, but really we just wanted a drink, and shared a buttered cheese scone between the two of us. Pretty decor, beautiful furniture, all very clean, friendly staff and a wonderful selection of chutneys and jams. Yorkshire Gold tea (loose leaf was lovely and so were the mismatched teapots, milk jugs etc. (Sadly, not for sale. Scone quite big but a bit squidgy and I think it could have done with slightly more salt. I would come back and maybe have cake. Good to see a man washing the pots. Spacious washroom with a warning about the boiling water from the hot tap, and it really was too hot for handwashing. Better to install something less vintage and more practical."

I had a wonderful experience at this charming tea shop in Redcar. The scones were delicious and the tea and coffee were also very good. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I thought this was the top cafe on the waterfront, so I decided to go in and was pleasantly surprised. The place was impeccably clean and organized, with friendly staff and delicious food.

Popped into Daisy-Mae’s tearoom today. Lovely atmosphere and good vibe. I tried their mango sorbet, and a scoop of raspberry ripple. Incredibly tasty and I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Although the decor was charming, the ham sandwich on white bread was disappointingly made with processed ham and bread from a sliced loaf. I was expecting a higher quality sandwich for the price of Β£7.00. View menu

A lovely tearoom: friendly, charming and warm. Excellent homemade cakes and adventurous scones (try the mincepie variety! ; delicious leaf teas and superior coffee. Everything is served on delicate vintage china. My favourite place in Redcar.

Struggled into this cafe with my travel scooter, initially totally ignored by female staff member. So sat outside eventually our order was taken. Service very slow, disappointing stodgy scone arrived. A young woman with pushchair and toddler entered the cafe and left too without ordering. Won't be returning or recommending this cafe. Called in on a hot sunny day for a little snack. I decided to have a Tea with crumpets and my wife had coffee and a fruited scone. Service was very polite when taking the order. When the drinks/food arrived they were very polite when they left it. For me it has been a long time since I have gone old school and had loose tea but you can taste the difference. Receive the crumpets on a stand and got little individual jars of butter and blackcurrant jam. Never had it on crumpets before but really enjoyed it. The scone was moist and really tasty. So if you want a little treat when in the area go and give it a try

"Decided to go out for tea but had the usual problem of where to go been there, nothing on menu I like etc but then remembered The Park Hotel that does a carvery plus a fairly good menu so thought we would give it a...try. On arrival I noticed it had been refurbished since I was last there it looked very smart we got our drinks and went through to the restaurant a friendly waitress soon appeared to take our order the carvery was set out and looked very nice so of us went for the course tea time special a starter or sweet plus a carvery, and one of us went off the main menu choosing sausage and mash. I have to say the main menu is quite good with a good selection pub classics like steak and ale pie (homemade) and fish and chips, different parmo’s, a selection of burgers, steaks and gammon plus chicken enchilada and chicken burrito. For starters we had the veg soup not bad quite tasty one of us swapped the starter for a sweet and went for the chocolate pud and custard which he said was lovely. The carvery I have to say was very good a choice of meats beef, pork and turkey we all went for the beef we were given a generous portion and it was melt in the mouth the veg was all fresh no frozen or tinned there was broccoli, sweed (mashed), carrots, braised onions, roast, boiled and mashed potatoes one thing I liked was they had gravy jugs that you could fill with gravy and take to your table a nice touch. The sausage and mash was also very good so no complaints from any of us. The service from the waitresses was very good and the bill was very reasonable so I will definitely be returning only problem is what to have next from the menu."
