"Dalgetty's has a lovely coffee shop which is attached to the bakery. The staff are very friendly, service with a smile. I had scone and coffee, the cheese scone is one of the lightest I have ever had. The atmosphere is light and bright. The bakery has been in the family for generations, and there are some lovely pictures on the walls of the generations. My wife and I also had the soup of the day and bread on a second visit which was also very tasty. It is a small place and was very busy the days we were in. Customers were being turned away. We will most certainly be back"

Had a few mins to kill before our bus,so we had a quick cup of tea and toast to warm us up on a cold windy March day.

Visit this lovely little tearoom on a fairly regular basis and have never been disappointed with the food or service which is always excellent.

Staff were uninterested in serving us, food was average. Would have walked out if it hadn't been so quiet Really unimpressed with Dalgetty's in Galashiels is one of my fave bakeries. How disappointing.

This tearoom adjacent to the baker's shop, offers a friendly welcome, good table service from a menu offering light lunches and snacks, the scones with cream and jam are exceptional, look forward to visiting again.

Thanks to Julie for a lovely welcome and good recommendation on the soup today. Chef even came out to ask our views. Delicious and served with a very fresh warm roll. Just sorry we had no space left for cake, but a good excuse to visit again soon!

We called in this week, lovely tea and coffee, my scone scrummy but nothing for the gluten free better half. Surely for such an establishment a grave oversight. Come on Dalgettys have some items of the menu and snacks for people with dietary needs.

When I lived in Melrose this used to be just a bakers but in recent years they’ve added a cafe/tearoom which is a great addition. Everything is as good as I remember including rolls, pies, and cakes. Still the best bakers in Melrose and Galashiels.

Popped in for lunch and had the soup and bread butter pudding special which was superb. A fresh bread roll and tasty soup. But, the pudding complete with custard is unique and sublime, what a brilliant find, I will be back even if I have to detour to get there!

While on Holiday in Melrose we went in here twice. The first morning we went in for a cup if tea and ended up having a cream tea instead! It was lovely. A couple of day's later we went in again for some lunch again it was very nice. A lovely little tea room with lovely food pleasant staff and very clean. We went twice so it must be good! Recommended.
