"We visited Leipolds during the very lively wine festival weekend and loved it! Although the restaurant was full and they even held a wedding, the service was very friendly and the waitress gave us some advice on the (very nice) size of meals...and the ingredients. The food was served quickly, it was delicious, all fresh and not heated again, and the price was absolutely fine for the quality that was excellent. We had a Franconian peasant carving (with bacon and a fried egg above) that was perfect. The bread was crispy and not greasy and the meat was tender and juicy. The fried potatoes were hot and tasty and the fried egg (sunnye side up) was as it should be. The bacon was crispy and hot and that's something you can hardly find because it cools so fast. The wheat beer we had with the scavenger was freshly filled with a foam head and it was cold as we like it. Very recommended!"

We stopped here for an early lunch and the service was fast, friendly and efficient. Our group all had different meat dishes and we were all very happy with the food.

Terrible. The waitress came to our table without menus to see if we wanted menus. That was after I talked to her to check that the table was free. Then she brought the menus and that was that we left.

I went into this restaurant very often with my whole family as they serve traditional Frankonian food as well as modern dishes and also vegan options. so every family member can also find my grandparents with 85 years. I had the vegan crepes with ratatouille filling that was really good. View menu

The restaurant is located in the heart of the beautiful old town of Volach. It has a very warm atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and had very good recommendations. I had the liver soup for beginners. Pork shoulder with garvey and dumplings... as the main course and warm plums with ice for the desert. The variety of local wines, some of which we tried. Four of us ate at Das Leipolds. There were a few tables on the sidewalk, but it was too cold so we waited for an indoor table. The interior was standard Gasthaus decor. The menu was fairly large for the size of the restaurants. Each of us ordered a different dish and then we shared tastes.Service was a bit slow, but the house was quite full. Portion sizes were quite large. I would have preferred half the size and more care to the quality of the ingredients and seasoning. The beverage selection was standard and the quality was average.Das Leipolds is an average restaurant with average food average prices and average service.

We ate Das Leipolds a few years ago. During our recent visit we tried five different restaurants, but all were fully booked. So we wound up with Das Leipold by default. There we found various seating options. Unfortunately, the menu was quite well overhauled and not much remained. We chose Desserts instead of a meal. Unfortunately, this was far below what we expect in Volkach. My cappuccino was one of the smallest I had and it was quite watery. The baked goods also came in small sizes and did not increase to medium quality. Unfortunately, the service was even worse than the food. The waitress had a bad attitude and acted as if our simple questions were anger. I cannot recommend this restaura...

"Although I regularly travel to Mainfranken, the Hinterhöfle is one of my new discoveries this year. It works in its overall ambience very large-scale and well designed and even better marketed, including own home magazine! The restaurant is located in the very picturesque city centre and is currently relatively poorly accessible due to some roadblocks, especially on weekends. Who can somehow come to foot or by bike (naja, also because of the excellent wine... or park his car further away. In any case, last weekend we had a good time walking through the neighborhood until a parking space suddenly occurred. Already at the first approach I felt a surprising Wowww feeling. The headstone pavement of the street continues nonstop to the terrace right into the local. Actually, you don't know exactly where the outside and where the inside starts. Everything is surrounded by vines and greenery, the Gastgarten is very Italian or Spanish and the restaurant itself could come from the good old Roman period. All very original, but greatly styled. And in between a few brick walls and a plundering well and a lot of eye-catchers. This is where the interior architect has done a whole thing. During my visit to the last WE, the restaurant was magnificent in the evening. A second table was released only by chance. We had to navigate very hard through the narrow rows – and to say it immediately: for old people, walking or visually impaired, this location is more a torment. High noise level, very unsafe terrain, too many stimuli. If you don't care, you can easily stumble on the slippery headstone paver. The adrette operation in the jewellery dirndl was also somewhat disorientated, but it wore with humor and corresponding standing. Even though she was on foot at the beginning, she smiling towards the end and persistently gassing the final espresso. Anyway, we had enough time to enjoy the unique ambience. Here you cross regional-seasonal cuisine with a large city flair and (unfortunately not too large portions). My antipasti plate, which was specially known as GROSS and found among the main dishes, was rather something for the hollow tooth. For this beautifully through and relatively oily and varied (Aubergine, various paprika, onions, zucchini, olives . Although I had ordered the food WARM, it was just lukewarm. A little more heat would have spit out the flavors. The whole was served beautifully in an oval rustic bowl, with white bread and a special salt I did not use, however, because the vegetables were well seasoned. But I would have expected more mass for 12.95. More convinced this already the red lace (9.50 oz., which had been cooked in Burgundy, which gave the cohesed onions and apple slices a wonderful color. The sausages were buttery and very tasty. I like to take this variant again. I was full and gone from the heirs in Wasabi, who stood on every table as an amuse gueule in large one-piece glasses. Magnificent and spicy and appetizing and unfortunately also addictive. It's nice that most wines are also served in 0.1 liter bins. You can try more. My Pinot from the region (2,50 was wonderfully splashy and fresh and slightly pearling. But no one could tell me why the small amount was served in an impressive giant glass where the contents of a whole bottle had been matched. Not even the boss there who made the round at the end. Apparently the wine glasses are chosen as desired? You have to look for the way to the toilet, he's a little worn out. There are plenty of toilet articles for use and when going out to the restaurant you can also get a few snacks or wines on the course. All in all, I was very excited about the location when the noise level just shredded me a little and my portion did not really fill me. For this, the Wasabi heirs on the table are free. Around the basement floor you can cuckoo football in a great environment (which hardly knows one of the guests... The audience is colorfully mixed, many tourists, many groups of friends, but also couples and families. Singles, however, none."
